Channel Nine has assembled a cast of “used-to-bes” for it’s new musical gameshow, The Singing Bee.
The series will be hosted by former ‘N Sync Joey Fatone. If you don’t remember him, he was the token pudgy, unattractive guy in the group that launched Justin Timberlake, and … that’s it. Apparently he’s been earning a crust on the American and Canadian versions of The Singing Bee, so we’ve decided to bring him to Australia to work the same magic.
Joey will be assisted by Rob “Millsy” Mills. Does the name sound familiar? That’s right – he came fifth in the first season of Australian Idol and got hot and heavy with Paris Hilton.
Since neither Joey, nor Millsy, has exactly set the world alight with their singing abilities, it’s a good thing The Singing Bee’s contestants don’t have to either. They just need to get the lyrics right to win $50, 000 in cash.
The Singing Bee will screen on Channel Nine later this year.
