John Mayer tweeted yesterday about wanting to work with Taylor Swift!
He writes…
Waking up to this song idea that won’t leave my head. 3 days straight now. That means it’s good enough to finish.
It’s called “Half of My Heart” and I want to sing it with Taylor Swift. She would make a killer “Nicks” in contrast to my “Petty” of a song.
I think Taylor would jump at the chance, especially since she gushed over John last year at the Metropolitan Costume Institute Gala! “I was star struck by the fact that he came up and introduced himself to me,” she gushed. “I was like freaking out!”
Taylor said that she rattled off quotes from his blog and he was amazing and sweet. John in turn told her that he enjoyed watching her career grow. “I was like, ‘what, you know my name?’” said Taylor. “I’m such a fan of his writing and everything so it was really cool to get to meet one of my heroes.”
