Where I live (the province of Quebec, in Canada), June 24th is a holiday. It’s a province-wide celebration where everything shuts down other than non-essential services (hospitals, electric companies, etc) and a lot of people hold various festivities. Since I will be out most of the day at a BBQ seeing friends I haven’t seen in years, I won’t be online until later this evening. To tide you over, here is a great Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and Jolie-Pitt children fan video that I found.
I kind of laughed because the song (“Paper Planes” by MIA for the Slumdog Millionaire soundtrack) is a bit of an odd choice for it, but the photos of Brad, Angelina, and the kids that were chosen are all fabulous so as far as I’m concerned, it’s a good video.
I thought it would fill the gap since we haven’t seen the family for quite some time!
The comment issue seems to be almost repaired, thanks to the awesome tech folks. Any comments that go into moderation will be dealt with sometime in the late evening when I get back home, and I’ll check then if there’s any major news that I’ve missed.
In semi-related news, it seems that Moneyball is in limbo. Although I haven’t yet read anything confirming that it’s been set aside, I haven’t read anything saying that it’s been picked up either so unless they get a new director, Moneyball will not be in production anytime soon. While disappointing for everyone – especially the crew members who depend on the work – at least Brad and Angelina and their children will get some downtime together all at the same time!

Could anybody post a video from the SPIKE TV GUYS CHOICE AWARDS when Brad is accepting the Femme Fatale Award on behalf of Angelina? I have seen the video where Hally Berry is accepting her award but there is no video from Brad accepting Angie’s award.
Thank you.
Btw Angie has won the Saturn Award for Best Actress for Changeling!

Why MF, X etc. are mentioned in the same breath/conversation as Angelina Jolie….
It only proves the fact that the name Angelina Jolie is so powerful that everybody seems or wants to attach his name to her.
Angelina Jolie draws attention. When we see her name in the news (print, TV), we pause, we read (or we listen) about her. We want to know anything about her. Hence, a lot of people realize that associating AJ to every starlet (wannabe or a has-been or a Z-lister) in any news is an easy way to bring attention or to the promotion of the starlet’s movie or any project for that matter. It’s simple as that.
Angelina Jolie’s name is like magnet. Fascination by her is not exclusive to her fans or to her admirers anymore. It extends to people who claim to dislike her. The irony is, it doesn’t make sense why they want to know about her when they don’t like her at all. Oh wait, they are fascinated by AJ because subconsciously they want to be like her. AJ’s life, family, advocacy, passion, actions, words, looks, advocacy, everything seems in the right places & direction that it can’t be helped that she’s admired. They admire her, they just can’t admit it even to their own selves.
Even the haters are owned by her. And that cannot be denied anymore.
It is what it is. The power of Angelina Jolie.

Angelina Jolie won Best Actress (Changeling) in #35th Annual Saturn Awards (http://www.variety.com/article/VR111…=1&ref=bd_film)
Congratulations!!!
AJ’s Changeling performance is so riveting that deserves every accolades it can get (or has gotten).
When AJ’s in the mood in making serious films such as A Mighty Heart, Changeling, Gia, Girl Interrupted, George Wallace, Playing By Heart etc. expect something excellent & extra-ordinary out of her every performance that often leaves a mark.
When she’s in the mood in making action films such as Wanted, Mr. & Mrs.Smith, Tomb Raider 1&2, Taking Lives, Bone Collector etc expect her to really kick as** as good if not better as any man.
When she’s in the mood in making some comedy such as Playing By Heart, Life or Something Like It, Kung Fu Panda, Shark Tale etc. expect her to have some fun & to be funny too.

Director Philip Noyce (Salt, Bone Collector) has incredibly great things to say about everything Angelina http://www.darkhorizons.com/news/14469/exclusive-phillip-noyce-talks-salt-:
Question: Are you in your element making this kind of movie?
Noyce: Well, here’s the thing. Look. This movie is sort of a combination of every movie I’ve ever made, in a weird way. So, I was in my element, yeah. I mean, you know, this is a little bit of “The Quiet American”, in its complex morality. It’s a little bit of “Clear and Present Danger”, in its study of the CIA. It’s a little bit of “The Bone Collector”, just because it has Angelina Jolie as the star. It’s a little bit, even, of “Newsfront”, in as much as there’s a realistic or documentary edge to some parts of the movie.
However, the major thing the audience is going to find is that the movie’s a showcase for the incredibly diverse talents of Angelina Jolie. When I say “incredibly”, that’s not an understatement. Incredibly diverse. I mean, as we know, she’s a brilliant dramatic actress. Without a doubt. That’s been proven. But – you know, she’s also, in “Mr. and Mrs. Smith”, and the “Tomb Raider” films, she’s shown that she can kick ass as good as any man. In this film, she gets to do both and she does both in a way that I think will startle audiences. It’s highly dramatic, it’s highly emotional. It’s a thrill a minute. People are going to be very, very surprised by what they see, and by what they see her do. As I have been.
So, when you say, “Are you in your element?” You know, this has been such a ride with her. Coming back to work with an actress who was in her early twenties when I first worked with her, and is now in her early thirties. You know, to see the maturity is extraordinary, you know? She’s a relative newcomer when she was in “The Bone Collector”, which was her first film where she’s above the title, I might add. Alongside Denzel Washington, but still a relative newcomer. You know, she was just finding her feet. Now, ten years later, she’s absolutely in her prime as an actress, and as a film actress. Totally understanding the process of making movies, of telling stories, of reaching out to an audience, in a way that the greats do. You know.
Harrison Ford is probably the greatest entertainer that I’ve ever worked with, as much as he had an innate understanding of his relationship to his audience, and his character’s relationship with the material. That was a marvel, to watch him work. So, making this film was a marvel to watch Angelina work. A woman with six children, often brought along to visit, and would be hanging out in the caravan. She has a multiplicity of causes that she really does care about. Plus a movie that required her absolute unbinding attention, physically and mentally. She never seemed to falter and that was quite remarkable, just to be around that kind of dedication and precision.
You see a person, a great athlete, who’s at the top of their game. I remember, I was a friend of Cathy Freeman [Australian runner] when she won the gold medal, you know? I mean, just to be around that kind of dedication, that kind of precision, that kind of honed to perfection kind of approach to what they’re doing – is exciting and marveling as well. You’re in awe. So, I had a great time.
