Access Hollywood reports that the ever-so-busy Jonas Brothers will begin shooting their Disney Channel series “JONAS” on September 29, 2009. The show has changed quite a bit and the boys are no longer secret junior operatives, they are 3 boys in a band. What a stretch huh?
Instead of being called the Jonas Brothers in the new show, they will be the “Lucas Brothers” ,who just so happen to live on a street named Jonas.
Although they have hired actors to play their TV mom and dad, real life mom and pop won’t be far. They’ll be behind-the-scenes, but “Bonus Jonas” Frankie will make appearances here and there. I can’t wait to see that kid act! I have a feeling when he’s on screen, he’ll steal the show.
“JONAS” is set to debut in Spring 2009. Don’t be surprised if the title changes!

THEY ARE NOT THE LUCAS BROTHERS!
I’m sorry for yelling, but I’ve seen Macy auditions on youtube, and the character mentions that she’s taking a quiz on J.O.N.A.S! not the Lucas brothers. I mean I know it’s just an audition, but if they were the Lucas brothers, then they would’ve changed the name as well. Their band name is J.O.N.A.S! and hey maybe they named it after their street, and turned it into an acronym later. I don’t know. They’re still Joe,Kevin, and Nick Lucas, their band name just isn’t The Lucas Brothers. Also I saw the other part of the article that stated Joe as the oldest. :/

Lucas Brothers? Sounds dumb. Not one of Disney’s brilliant naming choices but before the final product, I believe they’ll work their kinks out.
Joanne, I don’t understand what the auditions have anything to do with their names or the final changes that Disney production green lights for the show. Auditions are only preliminaries to a television show.
Quite frankly, and I can’t believe I’m saying this, I don’t like the idea of the Jonas Brothers doing their own show. Maybe it’s just me but it seems like their stretching themselves a bit thin. Don’t get me wrong, I am a huge Jonas fan but I like how dedicated they are to their music right now. A TV show just….doesn’t feel right for them.
I’ll still watch religiously though, of course. :)

OK i agree with Hilary (she posted on this article if u dont kno) im feeling the same way. the Lucas Brothers? not feelin the new name. believe me, i LOVE the jonas bros. but they r NOT actors, i can feel it. they should just stay dedicated to their songwriting; thats their real talent. i am sure Disney set this show up for them to get a few billion more bucks. <=/

Yeah, they need to stick with singing, acting isn’t as great as there singing…That’s how they became famous anyways… so they need to stick to it….I’m
