J.O.N.A.S. Series Set in New Jersey

2008 MTV Music Awards Arrivals

We already knew that they story line of the Jonas Brothers upcoming Disney Channel series J.O.N.A.S. had changed a bit. It’s not about the boys being spies. Although that did sound like a fairly interesting story line, I think this new idea sounds much better!

The NY Daily News has some bonus info about the show that I think you are going to like. Have you ever dreamed about having a double life, like maybe a student by day and a rock star by night?

J.O.N.A.S. is about just that! It’s a "single-camera comedy about three youths who are students by day and rock stars after the bell rings."

For more on the JBs new series see below.

Here’s another tidbit about the show:

It will be set in New Jersey, although it will be shot in Los Angeles. The brothers will live in an old firehouse converted into a home, meaning they’ll have a firepole to go floor to floor. The house will have vending machines packed with healthy snacks.

In a lot of ways, the show will cover stories that are similar to the Jonas Brothers real life. Maybe Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream was so successful, they thought the these should carry over. We all love seeing what a rock star’s life is like on a daily basis.

Nicole Anderson has been cast as their number one fan and John Ducey will play their dad. The role of mom has yet to be cast. Hmmmm….I wonder…nah, I’m too young, lol.

Here are a couple of the story lines so far:

In one, Joe falls for a girl who plays cello in the school orchestra and won’t date a rock star. So he joins the orchestra.

In another, all three have a crush on a pizza delivery girl, so they keep ordering pizzas over and over.

Ahhhhh, so it involves girls they like. Yep, this show is going to be wildly popular. Shooting will start later this month.

Although I don’t like how much this plot is similar to Hannah Montana, I can understand why Disney would stick with it. If what they did worked for Hannah Montana and brought it to so much fame, why not do it again using a formula they have guarantee would work with the kids of today?

Looks kinda like Welcome to Holliwood (or Mollywood, whatever they decide to keep), will follow that same basic formula except Demi’s show won’t have almost exactly the same plot… but looks still like the main character will be balancing a life of “fame” with a “normal” life.

haha yeah but knowing that there are more girls than boys who watch disney. this should be a hella lot more interesting. i’m pretty sure it’ll pass the fame of hannah montana.. i love the jonas brothers!!! plus we get to see how they romance the girls sense they’re all incognito about it in real life.
