Jordin Sparks and Family at One Splendid Evening

Jordin Sparks performed last night at “One Splendid Evening” presented by Carnival Cruise Lines.  The event benefitted the VH1 Save The Music Foundation.  She looked absolutely gorgeous!  She’s really maturing and coming in to her own. 

I actually had a good time reading Jordin’s Twitter messages leading up to and on the night of the performance.  She shared a stage with John Mayer and seemed pretty excited about that. 

Unfortunately, she started to feel unwell and put up this message not long before she performed: “feels bad but I need to lay down before I perform with @johncmayer. I’m not feelin so hot. :/ dress from BCBGMaxAzria.”

Then, I’m guessing she liked how things went on stage because she later tweeted this: “How can someone be such a beast on guitar? Have such amazing tone? Thanks @johncmayer for such an awesome time! Now…time to crash. Night<3”

Awww!  I hope she had a great time.  It’s got to be so unreal and amazing to work with artists you’ve looked up to or wanted to perform with.  I also spotted a picture of Jordin arriving at the event with her mom and grandmother.  I had to do a double (triple?) take because the two women looked so amazing!  Her grandmother (on the right) could totally pass for her mother!

Anyway, it looks like Jordin is officially sick after all.  This morning, she posted this: “is sad that I’m sick and knew it was gonna happen, but I’m still happy.”  Get well soon, Jordin!
