American Idol winner, Jordin Sparks, defended promise rings after this year’s Video Music Awards host, Russell Brand, repeatedly mocked them. It’s been a couple days but Jordin is standing by her words. She told EW the following: “It’s something I feel strongly about. I wish I would’ve worded it differently — that somebody who doesn’t wear a promise ring isn’t necessarily a slut — but I can’t take it back now. It was a split-second thing, and it came out kind of wrong. Still, I don’t regret it.”
Hmmmm… I’ve been there. Believed in something and felt like I needed to defend it but the words came out all wrong. Well, at least she’s sticking to her guns

Been there, done that, too. We got the intent of your message, Jordin and applaud you’re stance. There is nothing to regret.
