Season 2 Idol contestant Josh Gracin continues to open doors for himself. After performing at the Salute to Our Troops event in 2005, Gracin is now set to star in The Young & The Restless.
While it’s debatable which is more important for his career (I kid, I kid!), it should be a good experience for one of the nicest Idols ever.
American Idol Season 2 contestant and country singer Josh Gracin will make his acting debut on daytime’s Number One drama, THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, Thursday, June 29 on the CBS Television Network. Gracin will play a character named Jake, who runs into a stranded Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) in a country-western bar in New Mexico.
Gracin has actually done really, really well for himself since leaving Idol, with multiple country music Top 5 singles, several awards and a fairly loyal following. His website remains regularly updated and showcases his many, many engagements.
It’s always nice to see past Idol hopefuls use the opportunity in smart ways :)
