Recognize that adorable face up there? Yep, it’s Justin Martin from "High School Musical 3". Access Atlanta recently sat down with the new star and found out that he had almost given up on landing the role in HSM3.
“The casting directors told me I was just too small,” said Martin. Then, he got his big break. Director Kenny Ortega saw his audition tape and was wondering why he hadn’t had a chance to see this boy in person. Mmmmm-hmmmm…never trust a casting director. If they tell you you don’t have the right look, don’t give up. Justin is a true testament to that.

“After a few weeks went by, I got the call,” Martin recalls. “It was amazing. Kenny is a wonderful director and a great guy to work with.”
Justin plays Donny, who is best friends with Jimmy (played by Matt Prokop).
“My character is the more calm guy who tries to keep Jimmy from falling off the face of the Earth,” Martin explains. “He’s the stage manager. The guy who helps his friends from going crazy.”
