Kamar de los Reyes (Antonio Vega, One Life To Live) has decided to leave and not renew his contract. Even though the executives had hoped he’d changed his mind, Kamar decided it’s time for him to go. It’s not about the money or the storyline, Kamar told Soaps In Depth that it’s just time. He was about to reconsider after talking to Frank Valentini, out of loyalty to the show but in the end, he went with his first decision.
Kamar said he’ll probably wrap up shooting his scenes by January 5th and appear on screen through the end of the month. He doesn’t know how they’re going to write off Antonio but rest assured that he’s not being killed off.
So what does this mean to Antonio and Talia’s storyline? Didn’t Antonio just get promoted? It’s going to be interesting how Carlivati is going to write off Antonio Vega especially with Jamie, Talia, Carlotta, Cristian and his job hanging around. Maybe he’s not being written off. There could be a recast.
I wish Kamar de los Reyes all the best. I hope to see him on Primetime TV or maybe movies too.

I’m hoping that de los Reyes give the writers enough time to give Antonio a good exit. I don’t know if a recast can be found quick enough to be as good.
I’m okay with him leaving.. He dosen’t really have that much of a storyline anymore.
