Kanye West definitely was not too happy the other night after losing at the MTV Video Music Awards and he certainly didn’t like the fact that they chose to have Britney Spears open the show (with disastrous results) instead of him, despite the success of his newest single, “Stronger.”
He swore he would not appear on MTV in the future and now it has been revealed that he cancelled his appearance on the Today show. Here’s what Page Six had to say:
KANYE West’s arrogance is legendary, but now the rapper doesn’t even feel the need to promote his album – disappointing his fans. Last week, West didn’t bother to show up at a “Today” show concert. West, according to advertisements, was supposed to rock Rockefeller Center, but he canceled his appearance. A rep for West said, “It was a creative decision. There were problems . . . Kanye wanted to do things a certain way with an elaborate light show and he would have had to move indoors for that . . . He was very contrite.” But that doesn’t explain West canceling his scheduled appearance at “TRL” yesterday, or his interview with David Letterman. We also heard he was thinking of backing out of “Ellen,” and might not do “Saturday Night Live” at the end of October. “Kanye knows he is winning the album battle with 50 Cent and is so high on his horse that he can’t even bother promot ing his album,” sniffed one spy. A rep for West added, “Kanye is doing ‘Ellen’ and ‘Jimmy Kimmel.’ And he will do ‘SNL.’ “
I got his album today, though. It’s really, really good. I guess you can afford to be arrogant so long as you’re talented. Nothing’s worse than an arrogant person with no talent

He really is arrogant. But you’re right he can afford to be a jerk.
yea i think it was extremely arrogant of him to do that. Maybe he doesn’t realize, or care that there are lots of fans who wait many hours to get tickets for trl or get a good spot to see him perform in rockfeller. it’s really disappointing
