Rapper/singer, Kanye West, performed his single “Heartless” on the American Idol results show tonight and I thought it was a relatively decent performance.
I was happy that it went smoothly since there were some issues with his Saturday Night Live performance and I’ve also noticed that a lot of stars absolutely bomb on the Idol stage. Have you ever noticed that? I wonder what the acoustics are like in that room? Anyway, here’s the video:

There was NO WAY he was lip-synching!! It was TOO AWFUL for that! I like Kanye and that song, but that was BRUTAL!
In response to jerome…most artists lip sync parts of songs as he did. Have you heard 808s and Heartbreak, there is not one sample in the whole album. Furthermore, there are a dozen or so artists that are producers as well that are overlooked because of their lack of being able to expose themselves. Kanye has found his gimmick and it works every time. The man is a hustler and he gets paid like any other media icon.

He is a rapper not a singer. Rappers ride on the rhythm with lyrics not true concern for pitch. When he recorded it, he made sure it sounded good for radio play. Therefore, as you may have noticed it is one of the most played songs on the radio.
Stop hating on Kanye West
Then since he is a successful rapper, he should stick to that during a live performance and never, ever attempt to actually sing again live! That was horrible!

And what is an artist who cannot sing doing performing on a reality show that is for “singers”?!!!
