Katarzyna Dolinska in Christophe Josse Spring/Summer 2009 Show

Katarzyna Dolinska, who competed on Cycle 10 of America’s Next Top Model is thriving overseas. She recently walked in the Christophe Josse Haute Couture Spring Summer 2009 Fashion Show in Paris.

If you watch the video, Katarzyna shows up at 6:35, wearing a white tiered dress, and again at 8:55, when all the models close the show.

Katarzyna closing a Paris haute couture show so early in her career is a huge deal. She’s quickly gearing up to becoming one of the most successful ANTMers ever. She floated down that runway and looked positively elegant.

Eh, I don’t give Tyra credit for picking Whitney as the C10 winner either. She’s not even a good example of a plus model or model period, but whatever she knew how to play the game (and I’m sure Tyra was getting tired of people asking her why she always kept casting plus girls for them not to win). The best example of a plus to come off this show is C5 Diane who’s with Wilhelmina. Mary Nnenna who auditioned for the show but didn’t make it on, is another good example of a plus model. I’m glad Kat is working it and Mollie (who was C6 actually) is doing her thing as well along Anya and Fatima. Jaslene isn’t a bad winner but her career is a little frustrating, lol. She’s not that tall is true but I (and others) think she’d do well overseas but she won’t go for some reason. She could probably do well in London. As for C5 Nicole, she wasn’t my favorite but she’s worked but her thing is that she’s also been trying to concentrate on her education as well and I can’t fault her for that. Tyra’s misses are notable as well as far as girls who never even got on to the show like Debevc, Nargis. I’d add Ginger Wells too but she fluctuates in her weight which isn’t good for a model. But back to Kat, I wish her the best.

The only break I’lll give to Tyra as far as her winners are concerned is that, they need to be more commercial than HF, so I think in some twisted way regardless of how their ability to model is concerned, Tyra picks girls who the public can identify with.

tyra had the chance to produce a successful winner (anya, katarzyna, fatima). her fault.

I always new she had it in her – while I love that a full figured girl won cycle 10 – Tyra and Co almost always seem to let the ones with the most high fashion potential go (anybody remember Mollie-Sue from cycle 7?) yet when they do award a so-called “high-fashion” girl the main prize it’s to whiners like Nicole (cycle 5) or someone who really grates on the nerves like Jaslene (cycle 8).
Well done Kartazyna, you were always way to good for ANTM (but I’m still addicted to the show)

Hopefully, Ford Paris puts her in its show package for the upcoming RTW Paris fashion week.

From what little I know of fashion shows, getting the bridal dress is usually the highest honor a model can get. “Bride” almost always closes the show, so it does speak highly of Katarzyna that she’s wearing that dress. She did fabulous, got applause (oh, and the dress probably did as well), and definitely hit all the right beats on the runway. It was obvious that the designer wanted her to take her time, especially with such a delicate train, and she kept her composure the entire time. Yeah!

I always new Katarzyna would do exceptionally well. I’m glad she didn’t win top model because she’s so much better than that. Tyra, on the other hand, is probably kicking herself for not having her win.
