American Idol beauty, Katharine McPhee, was spotted at the Kira Plastinina Hosts Her U.S. Launch Party in Los Angeles over the weekend. I’m not a huge fan of what she is wearing but she still looks very pretty.
Has anyone checked out the Kira line of clothing? The designer is a Russian teenager who, at just 15 (16 this month) built up her own fashion empire. How big is her business? She’s getting 31 shops in the States to go along with the 49 stores she already has in Russia!

Katherine is very pretty and seems like such a happy and nice person in her interviews. Can you imagine being blessed with those looks plus all that talent?
I wonder if this is simply a fun, comfy dress or if she and her hubby are expecting?

Not expecting, just a fun, comfy dress.
No official word on her new CD, just rumors that she is working with David Foster and several songwriters. In Kat’s recent interview with Ryan Seacrest said she is taking her time.
Kat w/David Foster did a commercial song for Japan Airlines. Beautiful song.

That is about the tackiest outfit I have seen her in!
Of course, I never saw what the big deal about her was anyway, her voice is mediocre at best and I can think of several woman in the industry prettier and definitely more talented.
Looks will only get you so far…..
psbintl, I’m not a song critic, but I’m certainly not deaf, I agree with you 100%. I thought I was the only one with that opinion.
psbinti, you may not like Katharine, but when you say that “her voice is mediocre”, you’re just showing your obvious bias. Her voice has never been questioned except by a small band of haters for whom Katharine can do nothing right. They minimize her accomplishments, impugn her motives, and start nasty rumors. Jealousy is a terrible personality trait.
I apologize if I offended you. However I have been involved with music for many years now, and that is just my opinion of her vocal talent.
I have nothing to be jealous about and I am not a Katherine hater, it is just my opinion.

Yes I know. So many people fell in love with her looks, they ignored the fact she is really not that great of a vocalist.
Compare her to Kelly Clarkson and several other AI female vocalists and she does not even come close. Sorry Kat fans, she just does not have an outstanding or distinct voice at all.

Just read the comment from Brentwood. I know I never hated Katherine,but I never thought she was an outstanding performer when she was on Idol and I never thought she was a good singer,sort of hit and miss. I always liked her and thought she was beautiful,but really no charisma,nothing to really get excited about. If she hooks up with D.Foster,she’ll get radio play,publicity,and probably a grammy,so not to worry.

Sorry, I have to definitely agree with pisbntl. Kat is beautiful, but there are so many singers better than she is, including some on season 5. When she sang really well it was great, but that didn’t happen on every song she attempted. I’m sure they’ll doctor up her cd and if anyone can make someone famous, David Foster can.
