yes Jeanne, the funny thing is that her album will go gold on the next media outlet reorders.(might have already?), and Over It is very close to going gold. I don’t quite understand why she said that? For a 1st album that along with her changing her music genre that we all knew her for, she has done quite well.

Amanda – There has been a drop off and I think that, for a debut album, Kat has done well. It’s unfortunate that all of the former Idol contestants have to be compared when they release an album. I really do like “Over It” but I am pretty sure that she says she didn’t want to have anything to do with it. It is possible that she just didn’t like it. Maybe it didn’t fit with what she wanted to be?

This quote by Katharine was stated incorrectly. She did not state it correctly. what she meant was that she is proud of the fact that she was able to introduce Katharine the RB/POP singer versus Katharine the Celene type of singer. Also because of timing RCA felt Over It was the 1st single and that Katharine had preffered Love Story. Summing it up, although her 1st album has not been a chart topper, it has done well enough to gain gold status anytime now, and Over It the single will also go gold.If you really take a hard look at the music world, there has been a drop off, except for Daughtry, not to many others have had great success either.

Interesting. I heard that “Open Toes” was supposed to be the next single and now it’s “Love Story.” Since you thought “Toes” should have been first, I’m curious to know what you think about this. It would be sad if she missed out due to poor management.

Personally, I think “Open Toes” should have been her first hit. “Over It” was cool, but I wouldn’t have put that out as a first.
