Information regarding Katherine Heigl’s contract negotiations made it out into the media rather quickly, and it wasn’t Katherine’s intention for it to get out. In a statement to People Magazine, Katherine revealed that she was “embarrassed” by the fact that details of the matter had “become public matter and disappointed th at Touchtone felt it necessary to divulge private employment information.”
She also said, “I dropped out of the renegotiation simply because I wanted to treat myself with the respect I was not getting from them.”
Meanwhile, actresses from Grey’s Anatomy have stood up for Katherine Heigl, but you know, in that way that seems very rehearsed and for-the-media.
“She’s a super-talented girl,” Kate Walsh told PEOPLE on Sunday at the National Association of Black Female Executives in Music and Entertainment Dreamgirls luncheon in Beverly Hills. “Everyone’s just working hard.”
One of Heigl’s other costars, Sara Ramirez, says of the actress who plays Izzie Stevens on the hit ABC show, “She’s lovely….Everybody’s very professional – not just Katherine – but everybody else too.”
That’s not to say that they don’t support or like Katherine – I’m sure they do. It’s just … what are they going to say? “She’s a biotch. Hate her!” Well.. I suppose they could. lol
All the same, it looks like the contract negotiation-drama is settling down. Hopefully the anti-spinoff drama will settle down too.
Although, we still have a couple of weeks before the next episode so… maybe drama is good. hehe.

i’m excited that we’ll be seeing her at least to the 6th season. i think people need to leave her alone. she’s a great character, and quite frankly she plays a very good intern [other than her little mishap last season]. i look forward to seeing more of her as well!

i totally agree with Ashley. I am really excited about the fact that Grey’s Anatomy is going to go for at least 6 seasons. Let’s just hope it is on the air for as long as ER has been.
People who enjoy Katherine ought to be commenting on some of the other entries here – the poor girl is taking a hell of a beating from some readers – mostly based on having stood up for T.R. Knight during that whole gay slur issue. She’s beautiful and talented and wonderful on the show and it’s a shame some people let the fact that she stood up against a particular co-star’s behavior color what they have to say about her on this blog.
