Katherine Heigl Wins Best Supporting Actress Emmy

The press had their predictions aimed at Sandra Oh, and I wouldn’t have been surprised to see any of the Grey’s Anatomy ladies go home with the award, but in the end, the Emmy went to Katherine Heigl. I couldn’t be happier that she won.

Heigl, who won for her first-ever Emmy nomination, joked that she did not prepare a speech because “My own mother told me that I didn’t have a shot in hell of winning tonight.” She then laughed and added, “She’s a really big supporter. She does love me.” In closing, eliminating any doubt as to her true feelings, she addressed her mother, who was in the audience, and said, “This is for you, this is because of you. I wouldn’t want to be here without you.”

sorry, but i think that any of the other supporting actresses in grey’s did a better job that katherine last season…. maybe it’s cos izzie annoyed me, but i really think chandra and sandra did a FANTASTIC job last season and katherine was just average

I agree with you. Many on the show had better parts, more time on camera and did a super acting job. Glad someone on Grey’s took home the prize but she would not have been my choice.
