Katie Holmes did stay in Australia to film her movie “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark” instead of boarding the long flight back to Los Angeles for Jennifer Lopez’ 40th birthday bash. We all figured she would!
Her and co-star Guy Pearce were very busy over the weekend (July 25) filming scenes in the streets of Melbourne. Check out Katie’s long locks in these pictures!
It continues to look like Katie is having such a great time working on this film. I know we are all loving these pictures of her! I think working and that Australia air are good for her.
In other “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark” news, according to pictures I saw on Splashnewsonline, Katie barely escaped a car that she was travelling in, when it started to smoke and caught on fire.The car was abandoned and replaced with another one. That’s scary! I am glad nobody on set was hurt. Unfortunately, I do not have access to the pictures of the car, because they were marked “exclusive”. If the pictures become available somewhere online, I’ll point you in the right direction.

LOVE THOSE EXTENSIONS!!! That long hair MAKES her beautiful….w/out it she is just average looking….I think Annis has been right when she obsesses about Katie’s hair. It truly makes her look so much prettier when its long…..Lord, pls never let her go back to that silly boyish cut!!

Hi Jenna, I have obsessed about Katies hair, a lot actually, but she is a long haired girl no doubt about it, changes her over all appearance, you would’nt think they are the same person, the pics from NY and the ones we are seeing now. If she cuts her again, thats it , I will have a heart attack!

Katie is cute in some of her short hair styles, but she is beautiful in Longer hair. And it has been fun to see pictures of her looking so much happier lately and also of Suri actually interacting with other children and running around playing in normal play type clothes appropriate for the winter weather there. My personal take on why Katie is looking healthier and happier is that Tom has given her some space which she really needed and she is enjoying her work. I truly believe she absolutely hates LA and after this movie will keep doing her best to not have to be there. There is a world of difference between NYC and LA. Life styles apart.
