Katie Holmes and co-star Guy Pearce were seen walking around the set of their movie “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark” yesterday (July 9) in Melbourne. It was announced at the end of last month, that Guy Pearce had joined the cast.
Pearce will be portraying the father of Bailee Madison, who is also confirmed as the little girl who is haunted by all the scary things living in the house, and boyfriend to Katie Holmes. Madison is the little girl who discovers the creatures and is fascinated with them, until she finds out they are actually dangerous. Pearce gets frustrated with his daughter for telling all of these stories of monsters. Holmes’s character believes the daughter and backs her up, while the father still refuses to believe any of it is true.
Sounds like one very interesting film doesn’t it?!

did you notice that Guy, Katie, and the tech gal are all wearing scarves that are of the green color? Thats so cute……. maybe they planned it!! Only kidding! Katie looks cute in these pics. You can tell she appears really happy to be part of this crew/cast. I LOVE LOVE LOVE horror films/ and suspense/thrillers. This movie is right up my alley. I am eagerly awaiting its release!!! I cannot wait to see one of my fave actresses’ in a scary movie. Its like when Courtney Cox was in the Scream trilogies…..I could not wait to see her!!!
There must be more to the story than that , because why would they be looking for someone to play a young Katie. Also in Glamour mag Katie said that besides some scary moments , her character goes on a journey of becoming a mother, or something like that.
Also , even though her hair is pulled back like that, it has changed the look of her face so much, I’m liking the way Katie looks again…like Katie.
