An absolutely stunning Katie Holmes attended and hosted the Independent Filmmaker Project 30th Anniversary party in New York last night (April 26). The event was held at the Cooper Square Hotel in the NoHo neighborhood.
Katie wore all black and it is working! Her halter top is from Alexander McQueen and she paired it with black pants, Givenchy sandals and a little bit of gold bling.
According to IFP.org, the program assist independent film makers to hook up with industry professionals and connect with their audiences.
The Associated Press caught up with Katie outside of the event and she talked briefly about “The Extra Man”, her love for movies and what this program has done for indie films.
Katie said, “I just wrapped ‘The Extra Man’ in February and I am really honored and happy to be here tonight because I think it’s so important what they’re doing…”

I like what she said about trying new things. I hope she gets an action movie next. When I watched her in DC i always thought she would be good in the Avengers she always reminded me of Dianna Rigg.

I love the wide leg pants on her……I also like when she wears wide leg trouser style jeans; they make her lower half look fantastic and in porportion. Her makeup looks perfect as does her nicely coiffed hairstyle. Jewelry makes sense and matches teh hardware on her clutch. Overall grade: A plus! I always like how she looks when she is styled by a stylist for events. She looks put together and healthy! She also sounds intelligent in this video…..very professional and not whispering!! Great interview Katie.

Does anyone know anything about the ring that Katie has been wearing on her middle finger of her left hand for the last year. It looks like some sort of pink stone. I’m sure it was a gift from Tom but I was just a little curious about it.

Jenna….I think she still wears her engagement ring an oval diamond on her ring finger of her right hand. This is a different ring on her left hand. I’ve seen pics of her with this ring on and her engagement ring.
