Today (May 20) Katie Holmes was seen stopping by a dance studio in Los Angeles, CA. Katie’s growing tresses were blowing in the wind and I think it’s looking great. I’ve been looking at pictures of her with short and long hair and the longer style seems to suit her better. IMO.
Katie was wearing a blue shirt and sweater, paired with some rolled up blue jean short and black leggings. Will we EVER find out what she is taking all of these dance classes for? Maybe it’s her way of getting exercise and it’s not for Broadway. Who knows!
Tonight is the American Idol finale and since it’s obvious Katie and Suri are fans, I bet they will be watching it. I know I will. Any American Idol fans here? The picture of Katie covering Suri’s ears is so cute. I can’t imagine how loud it was in there with all of that screaming!

well good for her, but she has a long way to go. you know something you just dont wake up one day and say I can dance. take it from me ex- dancer it takes years. and than your good and it can take more training. so good for her. susan kuby stassi,
I was loving the look until it got to her knees-lol Then I was shaking my head…what kind of combo is that?? Very strange. The rest of her looks are cute as can be. Hope she is growing her hair out..some of the short hair looks were great but she is a real beauty with longer hair.
BTW I didn’t find the pictures of her holding her hands over Suri’s ears very amusing. The child is scared of loud noises and God knows she has long been exposed to them with papps shouting at her and her family since she was a baby. I had to do that at a 4th of July fireworks show once when my grandson was about that age. He was scared out of his mind and put his hands over my hands which had to be tight as could possibly be on his ears. After that he loved the fireworks, but remembering the initial look of terror in his little eyes still remains with me.
Just my opinion, but I’m not sure Suri should have been at the show to begin with. Obviously, Suri is not comfortable with noise and I’m sure it was very loud in there. If it were one of my children, I would have had them watch it on TV at home, but that’s just me.

hey…..just jared has more pics and in a close up KH is wearing a large safety pin attached to her sweater….now……what is that? She is wearing cocktail rings on her fingers…dressy elegant rings mixed with leggings, and dirty looking demin baggy jean shorts. Pls someone step in and stylle her….please. Look how cute the sexy women on DWTS look when they dance rehearse…they look adorable…..Katie needs a better more in style work out gear. IMHO, and I am not being rude, how could TC like his wife to look like this? Katie when out and about, represents her marriage to an A Lister so she needs to dress accordingly. I swear, I just do not understand this outfit. Its like what a dancer in the movie Fame would have worn back in the 80’s. HELP her someone PLEASE!!

I’m with you on this Jenna! Whether we like it or not, the face we put forward to the world in the way we dress and care for ourselves speaks to people. We don’t just represent ourselves, but rather our family and our lifestyle as well. In my experience, that’s reality. Maybe it shouldn’t be that way, but it is. This outfit is just….well….plain awful! LOL! I too wish Katie would get rid of Jeanne Yang as her stylist and find someone who can lead her in another direction. IMHO, what they seem to work out together doesn’t work (their designs, I mean) and this outfit? I can’t figure out why she’d put that together at all. Again, just my opinion.
Also, I’m pretty sure none of us can say what Katie does or doesn’t represent as an individual unless we knew her personally….and none of us do. Does she dress that way because she just doesn’t care about the way she looks because she’s depressed, or because she has confidence in herself and doesn’t care what the outside world thinks of her? No way of knowing unless you know her personally. Everything other than that is just opinion….not fact as Mary seems to infer. It’s all speculation.
Well, I just can’t figure out why she just sort of misses it. If she is trying to play in the big leagues, then whenever she goes out in public everything must look right. Elizabeth Taylor probably didn’t go to the grocery store in her day without being all glam. (lol she may not have gone to the grocery store at all for all I know)
Sometimes I get the feeling that Katie is dressing according to her moods. This look here I think was meant to be sort of playful- but it well, flopped. Rehire the stylist…LOL
I don’t think one should require a stylist when going to dance class or piccking up one’s daughter, no matter how often you are photographed.
Even in the exalted ideal that is Hollywood there is a need for some levity in dressing for the everyday and the mundane.
Is it Katie’s or Suri’s dance lesson? Sometimes it is Suri who is dressed and sometimes Suri.

silly me. Of course she shouldn’t dress all glam to go to dance lessons.. But like I said I was loving the look until I got down to her knees. The denim shorts OR the leggings maybe…one or the other..Hmm No I’m gonna still say she needs some style assistance here. I still love her girl next door look–casual and carefree and I haven’t seen that look in recent months.. The girl has to have closets full of clothes–she just needs help in putting pieces together..

Dance is good for Katie, it’ll help with her pigeon toes and posture.
