A whole bunch of great pictures from the “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark” movie set were released today. The pictures are of Katie Holmes and co-star Guy Pearce filming a scene for the movie. Katie is smiling from ear to ear and really seems to be having a great time.
Don’t these pictures remind you of the younger Katie Holmes? I love them!
In the scene they were filming, Katie climbed up a ladder and was removing a crest from the home, in order to try and keep the ghosts away that are haunting their home. Katie plays the girlfriend of Guy Pearce, who is also in a few of the pictures.
“Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark” is about a young girl discovers a hoard of monsters living underneath her father and stepmother’s house in this remake of the spooky 1973 made-for-TV production.

She’ll Do a Happy Dance Soon Enough
BlindGossip – The attorneys have finally hammered out an agreement! We’re finally getting close to the announcement of a split of this couple. Have you noticed how few photos there have been of them together lately? Half this couple is on a project that requires travel. The other half joins them fairly frequently, but it’s really just for the sake of the child/ren. They both have outside relationships. He has a new – albeit temporary – boy toy that his boyfriend is not too happy about. She has an extra man in her life but is afraid to be seen with him before the announcement. No need to feel bad for her, though. She is will be doing a happy dance soon enough. Dance, girl, dance!
She used to climb a ladder in Dawson’s Creek maybe it’s a good omen.
Don’t beleive it. Not only is it blind but it’s stupid.
Oh. My. God. These pictures DO look like the old Katie!! She looks so pleased to be working and it’s such a wonderful change from the sad, tired, gaunt looking Katie we see so often in pictures. She’s been looking so much better since being in Australia!! I think freedom and being able to work is doing her a world of good!! So great to see!!
Oh. One more thing. That blind item is trying very hard to make us think it’s Tom and Katie they’re talking about. There’s the reference to “extra man”, Katie’s upcoming film, as well as the “dance, girl, dance” which is undoubtably a reference to SYTYCD tonight and her dance classes. Doesn’t make it true though. Just means the writer wants us to think its Katie and Tom. Blind items don’t mean a thing. Most are nonsense.
She seems happier without Tom. Just an observation, could be wrong.
Ilove the way she looks lately,and I’m sure you guys are going to say , here she goes again, but I think its her hair. Yes, she does look happier, but with her hair longer, and falling around her face, makes her look so young and pretty. Please Katie don’t ever cut your hair again!
I think Katie looks happier and so does Suri in the earlier pictures. Kids
pick up a lot on how the grow ups are doing and Suri seems more relaxed
and willing to listen to her caretaker. I think both Katie and Suri are happier in this time period. Ironically, Tom Cruise is not in Australia right now. I don’t know if that has anything to do with it but the eyes

She looked adoreable tonight, but that wasn’t dancing. The background dancers danced. She just looked cute and let them lead her around. I am not sure what all the to-do was about. She did look ADOREABLE, though! In the interview, though, she looked so uncomfortable. Scratching her arm?! Everything she does just looks so forced. Katie, LEAVE tiny!
I thought she danced. The media made it a big thing and then the show seemed to hype it but I was not expecting alot I mean she is not a pro she just likes to sing and dance.
I liked the singing and the dancing and I am glad I got to see it.
I watch the show now because Katie was going to be on it.
I have seen some beautful, cool and different dancing because of that.
I am now a fan.

I just saw it on video and thought it was visually amazing, this girl is not a profesional singer or dacer, she loves to sing and dance, big difference. Loved the way it started with Katie in that cream outfit, and her singing is good, her legs look fantastic, and love the the extensions she is wearing lately. I found the whole routine ,very appealing and s..y. Loved it.

She looks beautiful, natural and content. I loved her on SYTYCD. I get that feeling that outside the media hallabaloo, this is the real Katie. Happy and carefree. Thanks Julie, I have loved these pictures a lot.

AMAZING PICS!!!! I LOVE HER OUTFIT AND HAIR….all make sense…..she needs a stylist EVERY day…so when she is running errands she will look great like this! So cute and so happy and so young!!!! Love her here! I was in class last night so I missed her dancing….where can I see it? I searched You Tube but nada came up!!
Ok…just saw her dance clip on you tube…. WHAT the heck was all that fuss about????? Her dancing was AVERAGE at best!!!!!! I read some articles and I agree with the majority of the reviewers that she was LED around the stage by the men who were all STRONG dancers….she was mediocre at best. She had a few slow moves but that was all……very average. I am stunned she needed all that daily rehearsal for that tiny performance. I have danced all over the place……amusement parks, cruise ships and that short routine should have never needed that intense rehearsal schedule that she was keeping. The men were fantastic but Katie is not a naturally born dancer. Now, on to the singing: I am grading her singing as above average. I was pleasantly surprised at her vocal ability. She sounded really good but I wonder without all the technical dubbing if she was really that strong vocally. I liked the quality of her voice but I suspect that if she were to sing live that her voice would not be fantastic…she got alot of help from the tech department, but regardless she sounded really good, dancing, not so good at ALL. Now, onto her physical appearance: A-PLUS. I thought she looked SEXY SEXY SEXY and UTTERLY gorgeous! The hair extensions and the red sulty lips made the ensemble. Without thos eextensions she would not have looked great….like when she was on eli stone….her curly short hair was RIDICULOUS looking…this time the directors did not allow her to look silly…they slapped a weave on and she looked hot under that hat. Her face and contoured cheekbones were beyond beautiful. Her body looked smoking hot as well.

That’s the first time I’ve seen Katie smile in a LONG time.She does look younger and prettier with longer hair.
I just watched a side by side comparison of Katie/Judy Garland and since this was an homage to Judy she had the same kind outfit and danced the same.
ITA about Katie’s legs I never understand why people say she has fat legs and why they don’t understand how a picture makes some things look bigger then they actually are because of lighting, angle and the colors on and around a person

i think she is the most talented person! I was an extra on Dawsons Creek in Wilmignton NC, and she sang in a bar scene, she can REALLY SING PEOPLE!!!!! shes really smart 2! She got the media buzzing abt the performance and Dizzy Feet, either bad or good, she did what she went there to do!!!! TELL PEOPLE ABOUT THE FOUNDATION, AND GET IT OUT THERE!!! GO KATIE!! VERY SMART…..
