Katie Holmes Arriving for Rehearsals - August 21st

Katie Holmes arriving for rehearsals

Okay, most of you said that you could never get sick of pictures of Katie Holmes arriving to her “All My Sons” rehearsals, so I’ll keep posting them! :D I don’t get sick of them either. I always love to see what she’s wearing.

I love what Katie was wearing today. She opted for some more fitted jeans, a black shirt, that scarf that I want and some loafers. What do you think about this Katie Holmes outfit? My daughter was laughing at her sunglasses. I told her it’s a Hollywood thing. Seriously, do any of you wear those big Hollywood sunglasses? lol

More pictures of Katie below.

It is amazing weather in ny, so I will not pass judgment on the cute scarf, but I love the jeans, she should wear those more often!

  2. PuckHappy

I like the shoes that she is wearing. She needs to ditch all the others and stick with those!

I adore Katie, and look forward every day to see pictures of her, but it amazes me that a bunch of photographers turn up every morning and afternoon to take pictures of a young woman , going in and out of rehearsals , every single day, and they don’t miss aday for anything.

I agree with annie. It’s amazing and I can’t imagine how she can handle it. I mean focus on work, when there are so many photographers around her every moment she spends in the street. Taking Suri here or there, going for rehearsals and back, meeting T and friends…

why in the lords name is she wearinga scarf and a fall looking outfit when the weather was so hot and sunny yesterday in nyc??? that is really odd. I could see taking a sweater b/c the rehearsal hall is cold but she looks ridiculous in her fall sweater and scarf. odd.

cant wait to see todays pics of what she on because I was just out and about in midtown and it is HOT

Wow I love that scarf! Does anyone know where I can get it?

I just read that All My Sons is not selling tickets. I’m sorry to hear about that IF it’s true (haven’t checked for myself yet). All My Son’s is an amazing play and Arthur Miller is an amazing playwright. I hope ticket sales pick up but there’s a lot of competition out there. I guess we’ll have to wait and see what happens.

Oops. Forgot to mention that having read the play, I think Katie is well suited to her role!

    Sorry for the double post!

Julie: In answer to your sunglass question, I did have a pair like that, but I got rid of them because my husband teased me about how I looked like a bumblebee with huge eyes with them on. But, she did pay at least $700 a pair for them.

I heard ticket sales are not doing well for her play. She does have a lot of tough competition. Daniel Radcliffe (AKA Harry Potter) naked (for 7 minutes) on Broadway in his play. Mama Mia! is sold out.

Did anyone see the gold shoes she had on today, Friday? She has worn them before and I still do not like them. The big gold bow is too much. I still like what she has on in the above pictures best.
And I still REALLY REALLY LOVE the shoes she is wearing above, the loafer style with jeans!

I am suspicious of this story like I was of the first one. It comes on the backdrop of so much positive publicity for the Cruises. Then, there is the fact that there are tickets still available for Mamma mia and Equus even for the opening night and yet no one is saying anything about them. When you go to the Broadway site, you will find that all plays still have places for all shows apart from All my sons whose tickets for some days are all booked out.

I think the same people responsible for the first story are responsible for this one. Notice that they don’t even quote the sites or the companies responsible for sales. Why blame Katie for any sales? Is she the star of the play? Why lie about Mamma mia selling out? Why talk about the sales in the first place when from the broadway site it is the hottest ticket in town and no other sales are ever mentioned anyway?

I simply don’t get it. This malicious targetting of this couple.

I find it annoying, that the media is focusing the play entirely on Katie, what about the other 3 award winning stars, do they even exist as far as the media is concerned, I don’t think so, the closer the play gets to opening, the more negative, the comments are going to get about Katie and the play, this is a very mature play compared to Mama Mia, which appeals to awider audience.

  14. Charlotte Rose

I’m afraid you’re right annie, and I agree with you! I think focusing on Katie and blaming her for the play not doing well is unfair! She’s not the lead and she shouldn’t be blamed for the poor ticket sales!

I think Equus is going to be the hot ticket this season.

I’m sad for Katie that the negative press is directed toward her alone.

Annie and Tia, I am SO happy that you agree with what I posted yesterday on the “signage” thread, hoping the press would not blame katie for the tkt sales:

I am excited for katie. This is her dream. I wish her all the best.
Since she is not the “star” of the play nor does she have a main part, I really hope that the critics do not try and hold her liable if the play fails to sell out.

Hi Tia, are you our regular but recently absent Tia or another Tia

  17. Anon.

Tia, I never said that the play was not doing because of Katie…You did! I would never give one actress that much credit, especially if she is not even the lead.

Let me guess, if the play were sold, it would be because of Katie, right?

BTW, I just said ticket sales are not doing well. I probably did misinterpret about Mama Mia! being sold out, but it is doing very well.

And not all PR recently has been positive about Cruise and Holmes. Maybe it is only the positive you read, but there has been some career set backs for Cruise lately:

Edwin A. Salt lead going to Angelina Jolie because Cruise asked for too much money and was told he wasn’t worth $20 million any more. The falling out between him and Paula Wagner. UA not doing very well and very few movies in the works. Not to mention VALKYRIE.

Yes I am Annie, Although I post less because I am very busy sometimes. I do love the site and come here from time to time.
