More Katie Holmes candids! Katie Holmes was busy at rehearsals yesterday and the paparazzi were busy taking her picture. They snapped Katie going to rehearsals, taking a lunch break and having dinner with ‘All My Sons’ co-star John Lithgow.
Katie was wearing skinny jeans, a white t-shirt, gray cardigan and some killer brown boots that I adore!!

Okay. I’m being superficial. I’ll preface my comment with that. I love Katie as a person. Yadda Yadda. But what’s with this outfit???!!! These boots CLEARLY do not complement this outfit. I’m not understanding this new phase? It’s one thing to dress down. We all do it. Why should we expect celebrities to be any different. Comfort is paramount, and I go out with jeans and a cardigan, too. BUT, if you’re doing to dress down for comfort…don’t try to look like a fashion icon by wearing terrible, stilletto-heeled boots that don’t match in color, style, or comfort! Okay. I’m starting to calm down.
I just can’t understand her. She’s beautiful. Gorgeous. Unlimited clothing budget. Does anyone have any idea as to what’s going on? I would love to hear what others think on this. It’s just weird that our Armani beauty has turned into a NYC garage sale clothes rack! 
I saw a picture of this outfit yesterday. I had thought that the jeans were black and IF they are then IMO the sweater with the brown, beige and black would look better with the brown bootie then what she has on here.
OR a soft black non patent leather bootie would look better since she is carrying a black purse.
M and Puck: I totally agree with you both. This outfit is just…..well….. words cannot even describe. I too thought the jeans were black. She wears that black purse with everything! That black purse looks awful with those “witchy” style burgundy/bronzy color boots and then she pairs it with blue denim jeans. Just awful.Every day that she is in NYC she misses the fashion mark. Where is her stylist? Clearly, she needs to keep one on staff seven days a week.She consistently mixes casual with dressy, with boho chic, with 80’s glam. I mean, what in the Lord’s name is she trying to say with these clothing choices???
She was dressing so much better while she was in Berlin, and Paris. She looks terrible now.
M, our Armani beauty is just going to rehersals everyday, I honestly believeshe doesn’t want to make a fashion statement, we know she has a million designer bags that could come out and every now and then Katie puts some different shoes on , instead of the flats, its the cardigans that spoil how she looks . I would much rather she wear a long sleeve T than a cardigan.
Annie: Oh, please, She is bringing the designer duds out, including her $3500 purse that no one can purchase anywhere.

Anon, maybe Katie carries that bag everyday for sentimental reasons, maybe her husband gave it to her, and she loves it.
I love the way she looks – I like the fact that these days you can wear brown boots but carry a black handbag, I think it enables the wearer to be more individual. And Annie, I think you’re right, she’s going to work and probably couldn’t care less about making a fashion statement.

WHY does this girl dress like she is freezing in NYC, when the temps are in the 70-80 range? She most be cold all the time, or hiding her arms. Maybe its another scientology weirdo thing
I hate these jeans on her! She looks as if she has been bench pressing 350. I don’t think even she should be wearing skinny jeans. Don’t you have to have skinny thighs to wear skinny jeans? The boots don’t help they only shorten her legs. Any the sweater looks like my grandfathers. What about a wrap sweater or long sleeve fitted sweated? She does even have to go to a designer, they carry them at the local GAP store.
