I thought this was Rumer Willis when I first saw it. Very dramatic change. Vry good move on her part. Being on location seems to have given her back a little independant spark!!!!

wow, i have to say i think this look really suits her! it really has taken that ‘drab and aging’ look she had been starting to show….
and yeah i do see the similiarities between her and posh’s look (hmm..the ‘pob vs the hob’??)
if you have a look at the pics of them in profile shots on another thread here, you will see just how similiar to posh katie is becoming …hair, dress sense – i just hope she decides to keep some of the cupcakes down and NOT get posh’s figure as well..
Her hair was her crowning glory. Her mane was sexy and beautiful. She always had long hair ever since she was a little girl. She appeared in hair commercials. So why would she remove something that is her trade mark?
Carla, the only women I know who make dramatic changes with their hair (radical cut, radical color change) are right after a break up.
I think something changed in her when she was on location.
You have to admit, Queen and Diane Keaton are the most outspoken independent women in the business, a force to be reckoned with. I think being around them for a couple months maybe put a little independent fire under her.
Before she went she was looking sullen and withdrawn.

Now that’s one very interesting observation, rocaar. Yes, I do think that Katie looks younger and fresher with the new short hair… much more like little Suri. Biologically speaking, Katie and Suri (my daughters) are sisters and it is always fun when sisters have matching hair-dos.
This now makes ME the only mama to remain with long hair… as well as the only mama to remain in the south. Today also marks exactly 30 consecutive days of my residency in Atlanta, Georgia… a legal milestone.
Tom has always preferred the south to Hollyweird… especially when it comes to raising kids.
Maybe I should start calling him, “Tommy,” just like he was called during the time he was livin’ down this way as a kid.
After all, Tom did sign the card he sent along with Rosie O’Donnell’s Mother’s Day flowers: “Love, Tommy.”
Katie looks so cute with her new hair style! Her style doesn’t look like Victoria’s to me. I imagine it was a lot of work keeping that long hair taken care of! She still can pull it back and do all kinds of things with her hair. Plus, she can always grow it back!

No. Libraesque. I think it’s much more than that. I think that TC became disgusted with her free-spirit ways down in Louisiana, and when she got home, she had to go through a cleansing ritual. I can’t imagine her voluntarily having her hair cut. I bet that must have broken her heart. But that was probably the objective. She had to give up something very dear to herself, to show her love and devotion to scientology and to TC.

I agree Roca, she does look more like Suri now. She is a beautiful girl who can pull off any hairstyle. I always wondered what she would do with her hair if she ever did something with it. Don’t remember her ever colring it. I am happy she took the leap. Must have been a tough one since she really has such nice hair and seems a long hair girl. Now she should put blonde streaks. Joking, that will be too crazy but may look nice, you never know.

This must be a reference to this secret breeding program I am always talking about. It is public knowledge that Hitler and his Nazis were diligently working to create a “super race.”
Both Tom and I are related to Hitler. I think this might partially explain Tom’s control freak tendencies. Although most people would consider me to be far more mellow than Tom, I, too, can become quite over-powering and dominating in response to any situation of injustice. And this is a good thing.
Hitler might even be one of my many biological fathers. Although I am not exactly sure how Tom is related to Hitler, I know his mother is the sister of my biological mother (making us the cousins we are). My biological mother is one of the many daughters of Hitler. Even the mother who gave birth to me (my niece/sister, biologically speaking) is the daughter of Hitler.
I have to say that I see a lot of Hitler’s tendancies in my biological daughter, Katie Holmes.
Just to let everyone know, Katie did not have a choice in the hair matter. With great glee did Katie sign a contract all the way back in the spring of 2005 that requires her to do everything that is so precisely orchestrated and scripted. If Katie deviates even slightly, she gets less money.
That’s why Katie is so mad… so mad that she had to give up her Batman sequel to do MAD MONEY.

No need to worry about the list….Tom has been around much longer than Brad. Big deal he is not ranked as before. I am sure his attitude will still be positive, he will keep on rolling since he never lets anyone bring him down….no matter what. yes, that list was brought up TIRELESSY on just about every thread, and some people are probably suicidal at the thought that even though the Tomkat wedding was viewed by the fans as the media event of the year AND that they also had a baby….that Brad Pit AND Johnny Depp came in above Cruise…..even ELTON JOHN was above Cruise……that is astonishing.. Also I think AJ made the cover of the Forbes issue where Cruise was listed as number 1

no mare, what makes sense is that he made the list because he’s a freak and a media whore, THAT’S what gets you to the top of the forbes list. one of the ways they compile the list is by how many times the person has been on the cover of magazines that’s pretty lame.
Yea, MI3 was the best of the trilogy and it did THE WORST all because of tom cruises crazy
that coupled with the fact that he got 33% of a movie he caused to bomb, and it’s NO WONDER most of hollywood is happy to see this guy take a fall

Amy with all due respect I think yours is a case of wanting something too much that you start believing it is true. You want Cruise to go down badly that you convince yourself that he no longer has fans. As a fan who has been visiting his fan sites for sometime. I have never seen the number of members of these fan sites grow as they have grown in the last couple of years. Yes he may have made some enemies but most of these are people who did not like him in the first place and I have only come across one fan who no longer likes him because of his antiques compared top the hundreds and yes, hundreds who became new members of his fan sites. If you doubt, please go and check these fan sites and go as far back as when this whole craze started and then compare.
The reason his postion dropped was simple, he did not make any movies in the last year and for the latter part of the period consider especially after January, he was very low key and after a while, the magazines stopped hounding him as opposed to Brad who is still the headlines of at least 3 magazines albeit for the wrong reasons. When you look at what is considered to be top and the criteria they used, Tom beat Brad in most but in the amounts earned anf tabloids as I have already explained.

I think the list is fair when you think about the criterio$n used.
On mission impossible 3, I think it is remarkable that it got 400 million despite the boycott in Europe and US and remember it was riding on one star Tom Cruise. It made 47 million in its first weekend and yes Ocean’s 13 without a boycott and an ensemble cast of stars made 36 million on its first weekend including thursday and Friday figures. which to me further emphasises the calibre of Tom Cruise as a star that he could carry a picture and sell solely on his name. 47 was considered a flop because people badly wanted it to be one and yet 36 on and ensemble act is considered decent return for ocean 13. We will see and compare the final figures.
And Lib, if you remember well, the list was posted by Leora not introduced by Anne, pleased go back and check out. Several media houses also reported it and even Forbes date on the last list was updated which made people call it a new list. If you knew this Lib, why didn’t you tell us? You reacted to the news because I guess like every body, it was posted as April 2007 news.
I even haven’t commented on Katie’s hair. It looks chic and elegant. I love it! Long hair can get boring sometimes and a change is always good.
Calling all fans….we actually don’t even need to prove anything. He obviously is doing something right or people that didn’t like him wouldn’t feel the need to down him. It is a simple as that. Positive comments come from positive people so we are in the right with this one.
No, I was not around when the forbes list was brought up because I must have been thinking of something else and doing something else. I like to come on this site, but only a little bit at a time. I don’t feel the need to read everything on here because I don’t have too. I have my opinions and I don’t have to justify them to anyone. Why should someone have to back up positive statements?
