Katie Holmes arrived for rehearsals today back in the boyfriends jeans with the pegged leg look. Honestly, I was hoping she left those jeans in Los Angeles, but alas… 
Katie was also sporting a plaid shirt and some major strappy, brown, high-heeled sandals. She was without her signature coffee cup this time, but brought her black briefcase along. She looks set and ready for her “All My Sons” rehearsals!

God NO! Those jeans……..more and more people are wearing them. What is the world coming to? All those teen girls who want an excuse to dress badly have one. I hope the trend doesn’t last long.

This looks absurd with a capital A. Does she seriously think this outfit looks good??? This is an insane outfit. She wore these jeans and shoes back in LA on the set of Eli Stone and I honestly just thought it was part of a costume or something, but no, this is her taste???? What!!!! Style icon? Forget about it!!!!!!!!
Katie is going to rehearsals.
We have seen how the rest of the cast dresses.
She doesn’t need to be in style icon mode for rehearsal and neither does she have to be one 24/7.
When Katie needs to be in style icon mode she does it well.

I suppose some would think she is cute if she just wore a garbage bag.. LOL This 80’s look wasn’t cool back then although we all thought it was pretty clever and it sure isn’t cool now..

I can imagine that if you go to the fashion shows, they have these stick-thin women walking down the runway in this type of outfit. Weird. Funky. Clashes. But in the midst of the music and long white runway backdrop, it probably “works”. Okay…but then you go home and try to put that same thing on and go out in the street, and you wind up looking like you’re playing dress up in somebody’s grandma’s closet. Come on, ladies, laugh with me. Haven’t we all done that behind closed doors? Only difference is that Katie is picturing this great runway all around her, but it’s only real life! LOL. So, she somehow decides to go outside in Julius Caesar high heels, Huck Finn jeans, Amelia Earhart scarf and glasses, my dad’s briefcase, and my husband’s old GAP shirt that he only wears to mow the lawn in the late fall.
You gotta love her for at least being herself and flying in the face of those comments that once said that “TC controls her.” It’s obvious from her recent wardrobe…she cannot be controlled. She’s uncontrollable!!! 
I wasn’t aware that kh was ever a style icon. Must have missed that memo.
I did think it strange that she was SO dressed up the other night while tc was so mismatched causal.
Most married couples that are as intuned as they are supposed to be, dress alike without even knowing what the other is wearing.

M: you are dead on right……I could not have said it better…exactly what I am thinking as well…..your description was both funny and accurate!! That outfit is just “wrong”. And Puck, the tabloids last year defined Katie as the new Style icon when she was photographed in Berlin wearing those wide-leg plaid tartan cuffed trousers. I recall shopping in the grocery store felt compelled to read about three different tabloids that had headlines that read Katie is new fashion maven, comparing her to Jackie O etc. etc. I absolutely loved her in the Berlin Tiergarten park shots with those great trousers and actually researched to find out the designer, I wanted to but them but from what I recall they were around 1500.00 Anyway, I felt she was dressing really well and looking very elegant, and the title style icon suited her appearance. Now, she just looks silly.
PS. If interested, and I am sure Julie will poost this, but check out comcast headline news regarding Paula Wagner stepping down from her role as CEO of UA Productions (a role she assumed when TC left Paramount). Interesting article claiming that part of the problem was the negative fallout/money issues over Valkryie and Lions for Lambs. She states she wants to make movies on her own etc. etc. Seems like something had been brewing for a while…..interesting article…wonder where the truth lies???
I read that the dress that Katie wore to the premiere of TThunder was a Holmes-Yang design for Armani, i don’t know how true that is, but sure is interesting if it is true, a style photographer that was there , said that the dress was very attractive, and was impressed at how good the bottom half of the dress looked on her, we’ll soon find out , i guess.
On Wireimage, there’s a lot of Katie pics, same shirt and scarf , but wearing flats, and the jeans are worn differently, not pegged.
She is a style icon since her hair styles and clothes alone makes headlines. People copy what she is wearing on the strength of the fact that she is wearing it. Her hairstyles too are all the rage whenever she changes them, she is a trend setter. Suri too seems to be a fashion little icon. If that does not define icon, then I don’t know what does.
The person who wrote the article saying Katie and her stylist designed the dress that she wore to T THUNDER premiere added his own salt and pepper to the article by mentioning Armani, never the less she co designed it which seems to have people interested
I think the design is impressive for Katie as a beginner. I read this on people.com. I didn’t know Katie was serious about fashion. Good for her.
there is nothing i hate more than people who dont have their own style and just follow trends. that is what she is doing just because those rolled up jeans are IN somewhere does not mean they are cool. she looks stupid.

It’s been cool in the mornings these past few days…………In the mid to low 60’s.
Way to go Katie! Keep on wearing what makes you happy and comfortable and not care what bloggers say.
Maybe kh is NOT happy wearing what she wears everyday. She rarely ever smiles anymore. Oh sure she was all smiles on the red carpet the other night, but she was in character so she had too.
But even with suri at the park, she did not smile except for when she was on her cell.
And just because a tabloid puts the name Jackie O. in the same sentence as kh, does NOT mean they are comparing kh to her in a good way.
kh is NO Jackie O.

Puck, maybe you have missed the pictures, but she has been looking very happy and excited. You can refresh your memory using pictures from this site.
The only time she looks pissed is when photogs try to take pictures of private moments with her daughter inside the chelsea trampoline house, she is smiling and when she notices she tries to shield Suri and does not look amused.
Also she is human, doing a lot, flying to LA and back, having rehearsals and dancing lessons in between, what do you expect, that she grins all the time? Be realistic, how many celebs or people for that matter do you see grinning all the time?
Jen Garner always looks worse for wear. No make up in most cases. She is a human being. Because you call her a robot, may be you have started thinking that she is indeed one.
I was thinking, comparing kh to Jackie O is rather…… It was well known that Jackie married into the Kennedy family for the fame and fortune. She married the most powerful man in the world. Until someone killed him. She had stayed with him through all of his infidelity because she there for the money and power NOT the love. Oh she loved her kids and she LOVED the lifestyle that her husband provided for her.
Then she married the second time around for major money and power of a different kind.
At least Jackie Kennedy did not have so called fans who attakced her every move and called her names.
Every one has a right to lead their life the way they want. Katie has that right too.
Ok, I live in NYC and seriously, NO ONE, dresses like Katie is dressing lately. Ohh I love Katie, but really, she needs to stop this!!! It’s horrific! Doesn’t she read this website!?! She should!! We all have wonderful constructive criticism

from reading somebody’s definition of style icon, i guess that would also apply to britney spears. katie holmes is as much style icon as britney and paris. to each their own.

lol. i admitted i loved those shoes (just not with everything else she’s wearing), but they really look painful! sheesh. guess different people have really different standards of comfort.
wonder what’s in the briefcase? to me, it says: I WANT TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY. just me, though, probably. i don’t see too many actors carrying around their scripts in briefcases
maybe i’m missing out. entirely possible.
i’d like to say about jackie o: yes, she did marry into the kennedy family, duh. but before she married, she was part of new york’s highest societies and debutante. she also had a lot of critics, especially after her marriage to onassis. it’s not that she was not good at her job, or that she was downright stupid, but people seemed to have criticized her for being a golddigger…. imo, she suffered a slain husband, and brother-in-law all within a few short years… i guess my point is just that jackie o and katie holmes are INCOMPARABLE.
I love seeing pictures of Katie and Suri, but i’m beginning to feel sorry for them now, Katie can’t make a move without the paps following her and Suri everywhere, nothing earth shattering , just going to rehearsals, and taking her little girl out after rehearsals. As for this Jackie O comparison, its the media who are doing it, so why are some of you being insulting to Katie.

Katie doesn’t read this web site, neither does she live by the dictates of her fans or non fans for that matter. She does what pleases her and is convinient for her and her family. That is why Suri is on the bottle after all the criticism she gets for it. Good for her. No one deserves to have her life dictated by strangers whose lives she doesn’t dictate in return.

Thanks Hanna, I liked what Katie had on there, it’s a pretty colour top, I think whether people like or don’t like what Katie wears ,there is something about Katie.
If not for the hordes of paparazzi that follow her, Katie would be like any other young, attractive woman going about her business in Manhattan…………..She would be noticed only because she’s striking.
I like the shoes, but not with those jeans. They certainly don’t look comfy to walk about in.
I’m wondering why other celebs can apparently go about their business in NYC unnoticed but Katie is being followed about? It’s interesting to see what she chooses to wear but going to and from rehearsals is hardly exciting.
