Katie Holmes on "So You Think You Can Dance"

Katie Holmes was seen meeting with “So You Think You Can Dance” judge and producer Nigel Lythgoe in Los Angeles. They were seen at a dance studio over the weekend. That’s him in the picture below.

According to Life & Style, Katie is in serious talks to show up on the show for a special performance . So THAT”S what all of these trips to the dance studio could be about! Awesome.

A show insider said, “She’s met with Nigel Lythgoe and everyone hopes she appears on this season or next season of the show”.

“So You Think You Can Dance” airs tonight (June 10) at 8PM ET/PT on FOX.

This is very exciting news! I don’t watch the show, but I will if Katie shows up. :) You can see a picture of Katie coming out of the Los Angeles dance studio where she met up with Nigel below.SPL104488_001

He’s famous for producing many shows including American idol and he’s a famous dance cheoreographer too. I doubt this is true especially coming from a tabloid like Life and Style. If its People magazine,EW or CNN I will believe it.

I’d love to know what’s really going on with all those dance lessons, now this Nigel guy is in the picture, wonder what he’s got to do with it, and how Katie fits in with him, he’s a producer of idol, a judge on some dancing show, wonder what surprise Katie has in store for us. This is interesting!

If it is true I don’t know how I feel about this.

My first thought upon reading this is that I’m not pleased about it. Katie can do far better than that. My personal opinion is that I would rather see her stick to films and Broadway than go on a TV dancing show. However, I’m also taking this with a huge grain of salt since it comes from a tabloid which is known for incorrect stories and outright lies.

I don’t know, I prefer watch her dance in a movie than in a TV show.

i sincerely doubt this. it makes NO sense for Katie to be on the show. if anything, he’s one of the producers for “finding neverland” and he’s looking to see if she has the stamina to handle a BW musical.

I am wondering if the people being critical of Katie being on tv dance show have actually seen this show? Maybe some of you aren’t meaning to make it sound like you think this is a worthless show but that is how some of your comments are coming across. I have watched this show every season it has been on except for the first one. It is a wonderful program that brings dancing in all of its forms into my home…affording me the opportunity to have a splash of culture and art that I might not otherwise get to have. Many of the choreographers that work on the show are award-winning. Mia Michaels, who is a contemporary choreographer, won an Emmy for a piece she did on the show. It was done to the music of Calling You. Look for it on YouTube. It is BEAUTIFUL. Mia Michaels is a genius and much of her work is so moving that it can make you cry. Many of the choreographers have also done work on tours for famous musicians or worked for shows in Las Vegas. The dancers on this show are amazingly talented people in their own right. This show has done so much to bring the beauty of dance into people’s lives and Katie Holmes would be a lucky girl if she was asked to perform on it.
