Well, I am glad Tom’s money is being put towards something besides shopping. I wonder how many people he bribed to get KH in. This is not an easy race for just any person to enter. Ordinary people would have to have longer than 3 months of experience. I guess money can buy you whatever you want.
I am impressed that she ran. Maybe next time she will train longer than 3 months and do better.
I guess Tom couldn’t miss the PR opportunity and have to highlight the fact that his wife was running by jumping out and kissing her. What did they say: NO ONE noticed her until he did that. Besides, don’t they have security at these events to keep the idiots out. Poor KH could not have her own spotlight!! Even the PR girl was out in full force!!!!
By the way, doubt she is preggo!!! 26 miles is not a good idea preggo.

Actually, I agree with Libra, Smartgurl is not a good name for you.
I said I WAS IMPRESSED that she completed the marathon. I know I can’t run a marathon nor do I have the desire or time to. I had three kids and the last pregnancy was hard on my knees. I think it had something to with constantly kneeling down to take care of and play my kids while pregnant.
Kh also has two nannies to raise her kids and how many maids to clean her house, so she can afford the time to train. I can’t and that is fine with me. I have a great life and husband cares enough for me that he won’t get in my face while running I’m running for a photo op if I did choose to run the marathon.
I wonder if she could have run the race faster, but did not because she knew Tom needed his trophy for the movie screening that night. I certainly would not have ran that fast if I knew I had to be a trophy that night and in stillettos.

I agree with what you said Balletmama. When I was on People’s website and saw the photo of them out that very night, I just said to myself, “I don’t care if I was the very last person to finish that darn race, I would be damned if I didn’t hit my bed and stayed there!!!” I guess if you’re “Mrs. Tom Cruise” you don’t have that option. Another thing; I don’t know how she got through a 26 mile run with no sports bra for adequate support. That had to hurt!! I am also impressed that she ran. Maybe if she ever did it again, she would tell her husband who seems like he got his brains out of a “Cracker Jack” box to stay his silly tail home!!
I’m glad she did it too.
The part that annoys me is this is another case where wealth and fame buy you what you want. I have had friends who have trained for years and did other marathons in our state and around the country and were unable to do NY because the marathon committee is so selective. Here comes KH whose only claim to fame is Tc and she can train for 3 months and be put in automatically. As I said previously, how much money did Cruise throw at them or is KH being paid to do it for PR?
Kudos to Katie for finishing this marathon!! I’m SO glad she is doing something for herself, AND it will help her depression by releasing endorphins which act as an antidepressant!
I thought the same thing about the bra- I’m not real familiar with running attire (I have a sports bra for exercising) but I know my friends who walk or run all wear running bras- even the less endowed ones like KH. Also- did you notice bodyguard (manservant) #1 in bluish-gray jacket-next to KH- holding her jacket and other odd gear. I think he’s the same guy who’s in the middle pics in a black shirt and orange tag lariat (or whatever you call it) around his neck. His gray jacket is now tied around his waist. Wonder how much he got for that 6+ hrs of work???

I think Katie’s entire presence in the NYC race was due to publicity. From what I understand, it takes years to practice and to be accepted as a contestant for this thing. I checked Sunday morning, continuously, on the NYC Marathon website, and Katie was not registered. Then later in the day, her name suddenly appears in the list. The winner of the race is a woman who gave birth 9 months ago and it only took her 2 hours. No, Katie probably was just supposed to file in the crowd, and walk and run occasionally, especially when the cameras were taking her picture, when TC kissed her and when she was at the finish line. It’s all BS.

What are they saying Libra? Of course, that may explain why no one saw her running until TC kissed her and why she was not tired afterwards so she could attend a party, an interview with PEOPLE and say she wasn’t tired, and a movie screening, all in the same afternoon.
I guess the Holmes are still being bought off: “I am so proud of Katie and all she has done.” love Mom Holmes (not a direct quote.). Was she speaking of everything Kh has done or the marathon.
Speaking of security, they should fire the security for the marathon. They did not keep the nuts away from the runners on the course. Somehow Cruise and babe got through.
well, people are saying theres no way she could have done that race without a bra and with pants that are dragging on the ground….she doesn’t appear to have broken a sweat, she’s unusually pale, no color in her cheeks at all, the fact that no one spotted her except towards the end and the fact that she wasn’t registered, and apparently her name is not on the finishers list!!!
She also broke the rules by wearing a music device. They were banned and all runners knew that
I wonder if the truth will come out or not. It could be embarassing for the marathon committee and the Cruises.
Although if I ran, reagrdless of where I finished, I would demand the truth because I finished the race truthfully!!

Why is the press reporting this then? How come the marathon people aren’t saying anything? It degrades the whole race and those who legitimately ran with how silent they are.
also, I find it highly suspect that she was spotted out that night in high heels…..how pathetic that this is an over the top obvious PR stunt.

I think that Katie was not running the race as a contestant, but as someone who just wanted to run in it, you know, fullfilling another one of her “dreams”. From what I had read, she was never really athletic. That’s why she took up acting, but she always wanted to be an athelete. She has large thighs and is pigeoned-toed. That’s why she trips so much and when she walks, her feet are always turned inward. THe shame of it all, is that she, along with her gay husband and cute-weird looking troll daughter took away the spotlight from the real athletes.
But why is the marathon committee allowing it????? It is degrading and unfair to those who legitimately did it that they are allowing the PR to say she ran it and completed it legitinately!!!! Also, it makes the marathon committee look like they are corrupt and can be bought by Hollywood.
Lance Armstrong did it legitemately. How unfair for him!!

■The fastest 9,000 female runners based on best or predicted times will be assigned
“F” numbers, to be positioned at the front of the orange start. Any man found
running with these women at the start will be disqualified.
thats odd that she would be in that group….since she was in the BOTTOM 10% timewise………so I guess money can buy you anything!!!
Either way, it implies she LEGITIMATELY ran and that we should believe she RAN!!!
As I said before, it is insulting to those who ran. I also doubt she did the whole thing because walking or running 26 miles will tire any person out unless they’re on LSD or something. Even legitimate athletes are exhausted after competing!!!! She looks too relaxed afterwards.
I am sorry, but this takes the cake for blatant deception and i don’t know why no one calls her on it, especially the marathon runners who are now overshadowed by her silliness!!!!!!!
She ran – or walked – the race. Who cares how she got to the end, she was not asking for any special consideration. This may be why her name did not appear on the list of participants until right before the event began. I doubt that she was trying to finish first, more than likely it was something that she wanted to do. Good for her! Also, for the comment that someone made about her large thighs, please! There are a number of women who would LOVE to have the thin thighs that Katie does!
Whats worse is even MOMMY and DADDY show what liars they are to support this deception. Maybe KH has been behaving exactly as she was raised for Mom and Dad to support it!!!!!
Well, I’m sure she ran the race legitimately and finished legitimately. I must, though, comment on the running outfit. My god, put a damn bra on! The pants look equally as uncomfortable. I would have worried about tripping on them as they were dragging under my shoes. She really is an odd person!
Read something interesting on the screening last nigth (fox.com). Redford, Streep, and Cruise were hosting it for family and CLOSE friends only and some NYC bigwigs. Turns out, the who’s who in Scientology were also there, including their chief lawyer. They were all prostelityzing. Streep and Redford were shocked Cruise invited them. Cruise and gang left afterwards (I guess people weren’t impressed with them) and Streep and Redford were not happy about that either. Cruise was supposed to stay and help with hosting the after party.
Perhaps silly girl was supposed to fake the race so Cruise could bail on his co-stars and not get chewed out for turning it into a Scien. recruiting effort!!!

Did you not read my post correctly? She is a regular person participating in an event. She entered as a regular participant – because she is a regular human being. It is only other people who either demonize or sanctify her and her family. She completed something that she has said that she would like to do. People have been commenting for months that it was all bull that she would even think about entering. Well, she did enter and finish – who cares if it took longer than people thought it should. Have any of the people commenting ever competed? GOOD FOR HER!

It will affect him exactly as it should….he will be a big failure. More than half of Hollywood already won’t work with him….he has almost all his meetings at the “church” and it creeps a LOT of people out.

Someone on JJ said they kept checking the site and her name didn’t appear til mid-way through the race
I have such a dirty mind, I was thinking the same thing, too, Libraesque2007. I do believe Tomgyrl has a new wrestling partner, probably some young goodlooking buck who will keep his mouth shut (but not for some things) so Tom can bankroll and bedroll him in some new feature films. Does anybody have a picture of the new man who will be sharing Tomgyrl’s bed? Because he’s ready told the world that Katie doesn’t share his bed. Apparently “men” don’t mind other men’s “snoring.”

Legitimate racers got there because they went entered the legitimate way…not bribed the officials. Anyone can tell you that it takes legitimate racers years to get there and then most of them don’t because the committee is selective!!!!!

FYI -Balletmama – The New York marathon is open to all who register and pay the fee on time. You have to qualify for the Boston marathon not the New York marathon. Also, how “selective” can the committee be when almost 40,000 people ran in this race?

I don’t run marathons because I know I am not in shape to RUN them. I glad she did it if it was a goal, but to give her press for it is silly. And I am sure there is part of her that did for PR or else why the mid-race kiss with Tom to highlight who she was.

There are no pics that I have seen. But, it has been widely reported in several sources, People and Star (nice legit sources, right) that no one knew who she was until Cruise with suri in arms jumped out and gave her kiss during the race. They did highlight that it was during the time she was running. The press was speculating that is why she was so slow. Cruise and Suri then waited for her at the finish line.
I will see if i can a legit one LOL!!

Okay, last thing I have to say about this marathon thing: Yes, she accomplished something big. BUT, I think a huge part of this was for the Cruise PR machine because even she had to pose with Suri (her PR girl). If I ran, there is no way I would lug a two year old around afterwards. As far as the loser she married, it was all PR for him.
I just feel sorry for all the legitimate people who were there, that they get overshadowed by these two idiots and their PR kid.
By the way, why aren’t Connor and Isabella there? Yet another family event they are excluded from. How wonderful for them two that their dad has two families: a bio family and an adopted family. Adopted only comes out when bio is created (AKA Suri’s press debut this past Spring)!
