We’ve all heard the rumors that Katie Holmes wants another baby or that she is actually already pregnant. The press has been desperately trying to get a picture of her baby bump. She doesn’t look very pregnant to me, but sources are saying that she definitely wants baby number 2.
A source close to the couple told E! Online that Katie would like to have another baby and soon!
“She said she’s got the itch,” the source said. “Now that Suri is more toddler than baby, she said she misses having an infant in the house. And, of course, she thinks Suri would make a great big sister.”
What about Tom? Does he want to expand their brood? He’s supposedly on board with the idea too.
“He said if Katie wants to make another baby, she doesn’t have to ask twice,” the source told E!. “He always wanted more. It was Katie who has been holding off. Until now.”

well, it could work out that her and her bff posh will have their next babies close together – i read rumours that katie wants a boy and posh wants a girl…. wonder if it will work out that way for them?
i think the time is perfect for her to fall pregnant- it’s not like she has a lot of work lined up in the pipeline to distract her
Suri seems more like a baby than a toddler.
speculating, but she probably doesn’t spend time with kids her own age.
suri seems to spend an awfully large amount of time in her parent arms, guzzling on her bottle, travelling from country to country, time zone to time zone, different bedroom to different bedroom, i think a baby brother/sister would be wonderful company for her
My understanding is that this is how Scientologists raise their children. So

for her to have the company of a baby

is part of the training, I imagine she would enjoy being a big sister.

she might as well……. she is 29 now and what the heck…its not like she is without nanny support etc. she could have another and if a film comes her way then she would have the aide to permit her to follow her movie making passion…….on th eflip side….I may sound weird when I write this but a small part of me does not want Suri to lose some of her spotlight…..she is such a little “star” and I love how much attention/press she receives….if a newborn comes along then Suri will not be the “rage” any longer!!!! Weird thought…I know, but had to admit to it!!!
oh and PS….I agree with the other poster…Suri appears to be a “baby”….compared to other 2 year olds I know. She behaves in photos like she is not a toddler…..perhaps its because she is always carried, has a bottle in her mouth, and is swaddled in a receiving blanket. She appears to be infantile……but I only see pictures so none of us get to see her at home talking, eating etc. Its just in the pics with that dang bottle and blanket she looks infantile!!

she’s adorable, andi think that’s what intrigues people. she looks like a little adult with the chic hairdo, but is treated like a 9 month old.

Actually Katie will be on Broadway this fall, if everything goes to plan. So I don’t think she is planning or is pregnant.
Katie Holmes Heads to Broadway
While the ink isn’t yet dry on the deal, it is all but certain that Katie Holmes will make her Broadway debut this Fall, playing Ann Deever in the revival of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons.
Discussions to bring the actress to Broadway were confirmed back in March, and now a deal seems inevitable. Producer Eric Falkenstein tells OK! he thinks Katie is perfect for the part.
“Katie is very well suited for the role of Ann,” he says. “There is an additional layer of soul to Ann and from the work I’ve seen of Katie, she has always impressed with multi-faceted characters. She would nail it.”
Falkenstein also feels that Mrs. Cruise’s star-power won’t overshadow her acting ability. “Despite being in the spotlight and her celebrity status, the fact remains that she has a tremendous record of performances,” he says. “I think Katie is a tremendous actor. Whenever she decides to come to the stage she’ll be terrific.”
All my sons will hit Broadway with a preview in September and open a month later in October. A formal announcement is expected to take place within the next 10 days.

Yes, her depth of character, her soul, her great acting will for sure make her a Broadway star. She can have babies and still be Kate the Great…look at Cate Blanchett and Meryl Streep, the greatest actresses ever with lots of children.

I don’t think that we can say that Suri is carried “all the time” and that having a blanket with her makes her seem infantile. A LOT of children carry blankies around for security and comfort. She only just turned 2 for goodness sake…she IS still a baby. We only get to see about 1% of these people’s lives so I don’t think that really means we can know what they do the rest of the time. As for the bottle, this is a tricky issue and one I think a lot of parents face. I don’t see a bottle as being much different from a pacifier. At Suri’s age she is probably still using it more for comfort than nutrition and so in that way it is similar to a pacifier. My youngest daughter didnt give up her pacifier until she was 4. But I started limited her access to it around age 2 1/2 and she only got it during sleeping times. A 2 year old carrying a bottle around all the time isn’t the choice I would personally make but I think it is important to realize that no child does something forever…they WILL eventually give up the bottle, pacifier, give up the blankie, get potty-trained, etc. Parenting is HARD and I know I would not want to do it under scrutiny.

She will give up the bottle, but not voluntarily. Sooner or later, they’re going to have to hide it from her, and given her apparent temperament, they’re going to be in for some real fun.
Although I have a problem with that bottle thing as there are so many wonderful sippy cups that cover any stage, I don’t have any problem with the blanket. Now they should be dressing her weather-appropriately with shoes, etc. but carrying around a blanket she clearly is attached to is pretty normal in my view.
There are pictures of Tom and Katie carrying a sippy cup for Suri on outings and Suri drinking from one, so it seems that she drinks from both a siipy cup and a bottle.
All kids do give up both the bottle and the blankie eventually. It’s different for every family.
On Suri’s temperament……………This is a child whom from pics and video seems to be a very well behaved toddler who can sit through a Broadway play and impressed the actors from that show with that feat. She also appeared quite happy in her grandparents arms while in Germany and is reportedly very well behaved in restaurants and other places when out with her parents.
I believe I have only seen one or two pics of a sippy cup and numerous bottle pics. I think she is probably a pretty quiet little girl as we haven’t really seen her running around playing since she was in that park in Germany. Not an AJ fan either, but AJ lets her kids go on their own steam even with papps everywhere. TC has bodyguards everywhere for goodness sake so what would happen??
Tom and Katie let Suri go on her own steam, they just have to grab her quickly…………..Remember her on the German streets and in Manhattan in January.
AJ holds on to her kids, as big as they are and her youngest is almost always in a stroller or in her parents arms.
ahhh yes. a stroller–something KH and TC have apparently never thought of. The dead weight of a sleeping child around 2 or so gets pretty darn heavy I would imagine.. I think I stopped carrying mine at that age –too heavy.

I know family is important to Katie, and that she treasured growing up in a family of a brother and her 3 sisters, but I wonder if having a baby now might put the kibosh on her broadway deal? Perhaps Tom might like that? I dont know. I know I am being selfinsh when I say that I’d love to see Katie on Broadway, and would definitely like to attend, so I wouldn’t wan’t her to be pregnant now for that reason. I have mixed feelings about her having baby #2, Katie’s often so tired now (due to her health issues that she’s had since childhood) that I fear baby #2 would put a great deal more strain on her. I’ve not had children, so I can’t say from personal experience, but everyone I’ve spoken with (my own mother included) says that baby #2 isn’t just like adding a second person to the family, it becomes a whole new juggling act.
As far as Suri & the bottle, I just read the article about Leah Remini (also a scientologist) is trying to break her almost 4 yr old daughter of the same habit. (Because in scientology, you are not supposed to say no to the child, as the article said, so it has been hard to take the bottle away in the past.) She (Leah’s daughter) requires 6-8 water bottles a night to calm her to sleep, sleeps in the bed with her parents and also wets the bed (for which they put a diaper on her & several towels on the bed.) They’ve realized the problem and are trying to now break the habit, as well as get her to sleep in her own bed, but it does make me wonder if this is what is in the future for Suri? Obviously no crystal ball here, just thoughts… I know we’d seen Suri with a sippie cup, but see that she’s now back to the bottle. One interesting thing I did notice is that Suri has never had a pacifier (or at least I’ve never seen one). Pacifiers are known for their “non-nutritive sucking” and calming abilities – I’ve always wondered if Suri’s ever had one, or has always been given a bottle for calming. I’m keeping an open mind and curious what everyone out there has to say (as long as it’s not in the form of bashing, but an informative opinion). Thanks all!

i think they need to give up the bottle, or why have another right now, when tehy still treat suri like a baby, alwasy being held, always as a bottle and blankie. how would she deal with a baby if suri is number one attention. the blankie is fine but being held and havin abottle all the time is very tacky
