Katie Holmes left her apartment today (December 28), wearing a pair of jean shorts, black stockings, heels and a gray Marc Jacobs scarf. She was headed to the theater for her Sunday performance and it was supposedly quite warm in New York today compared to this last week.
After Katie’s performance, she went back to her apartment and you can see in the pictures that her hair is curly. I love it when she wears her hair like that.

Tom is very lucky, Katie Holmes is a youthful baby faced beauty at 30 years of age. So many woman would kill to look this good. I hope Suri has this same quality but then again, even Tom looks younger for his age.

I do not know, I like and while I was ugly. The shorts are fine but I think that stockings are not for high heels, boots yes … if this kind of stockings are made for use with boots

Sometimes, Katie looks great. Sometimes, it looks like she’s trying really hard to be cutting edge, and it doesn’t work. I’m sure much thought had to go into this outfit, but the end result…?
I actually really like her outfit. I think the stockings look new, hip, cutting edge. Wearing shorts with stockings is back in style. Don’t even get me started on how hot those shoes are on her! I would wear that outfit in a New York minute! Must be nice to afford her clothes and that Marc Jacobs scarf!!! If I had those heels I would run out and buy some of those stockings to go with it…and then follow suit. Katie is a trend setter not a follower. Actually, she pays really close attention to what is really in style. The average person just doesn’t get what is really the current trend. Not the current trend for woman everyday but for celebrities and people who can afford to dress really hip.
O Ya, it is obvious that those are Christian Louboutin shoes which are the hottest shoe ever! I bet they retail for $1200.00 +.
I like it, I admire the fact that she wears all different things, and when you wear such variety there are going to be hits and misses, Katie has worn the shorts before with suede boots, liked that better , but I don’t mind this at all, she looks very cute. on someone else it could look trashy but Katie wears it with a touch of class.
No offense to those who liked this look, but I think it’s completely awful! It looks disjointed and silly IMHO and those footless tights have to go.
As for Katie looking baby faced (as I believe someone mentioned), I don’t see it at all. Perhaps it’s that she looks so sad all the time. To me she looks much older than her years and appears to have aged considerably over the past couple of years, which is unusual for someone at 30.
I’m not going to venture a guess as to why, but that’s what I see.
She’s 30, she looks 45, and she’s trying to dress like she’s 16.
Someone should really talk to her and level with her. The sooner the better. One of these days, she’ll read the blogs and see article after article and blog after blog of people making fun of her. For her own sake, her sisters should tell her. Maybe they’ve tried?
Sorry, this is totally off topic, but after everyone left on Christmas Day, my husbands sister and her husband stayed back, so we decided to watch a movie, I went to the box office channel and there was Mad Money. It never came out here, I saw bits and pieces on the internet, I tried to get a video, and could’nt , then I just forgot about it ,so Iwas so happy, we all enjoyed it so much, it was a real feel good movie, but both men couldn’t figure out what nationality Katie was, so the guessing game began, with her long dark hair and huge eyes( which you don’t see in pics) it started , my husband thought she had Italian Mexican or Spanish in her ,my brother in law thought she looked similar to the pretty actresses from Egypt and around those countries, I told them as far as I know her parents are American, silly bit of chatter, but it was funny at the time. Loved the movie!
Annie: are you kidding about Mad $$??? Please Annie, it was Gosh-awful…..her performance was sub-par, at best. Keaton also fell flat which is hard for her to do b/c she is a brilliant actress. The entire script was a complete flop. A waste of money if you ask me!
Lisa: I have been writing the same thing for months as you…. why does her female family members not pull her aside and say Katie….you have looked much better and your choices are odd at best. The pieces, individually, are great….the shoes, the scarf etc. but she puts them all together wrong…her combinations are just dreadful. She does not look classy…..she looks trashy.
I promised once I wouldn’t keep on about Katies hair, and I don’t know how many times I’ve broken it, but I have to say this. She was so pretty in MM, maybe a bit thin but very pretty and looked her age or younger, and her hair, long, she had it loose , up, pony tail, the only time I didn’t like in the movie was a couple of times when it was frizzy that didn’t suit her, so until she grows it again,there will always be something missing from her, short hair does age her a bit, it seems to happen to a lot of people with short hair, it gives them an air of maturity and she’s too young for that.
Did anyone catch the E! News yesterday? They were mocking that outfit. I have to admit, this is not one of her best looks – or ANYONE’S for that matter. But bravo to her for having the confidence to leave her house wearing it!
Leah, you can easily get that look anywhere. Get some jean shorts, black stirrup tights, a grey wool scarf, a black sweater, and some chunky black pumps. Or, is it just the thought of how much that all costs that you find attractive?
If it’s not the allure of money, I know that you can put that look together for a few hundred bucks. Then, snap a picture and post it for us to see. LOL!!!

exactly……extreme bias here on this fansite….in favor of Katie. That outfit worn on another star would be mocked…..or worn on an average jane on the street. point is the outfit is absurd no matter who wears it but if biased you will write that she looks great in it.
