Well, her hair was full of stones that is. Hehe…What did you guys think of Katie Holmes’ hair style at the Oscars? Did you like the stones? I’m not sure I did, but someone at People magazine did:
While others were deciding between long straight hair or retro curls — Katie Holmes had a more original idea in mind for her Oscars night updo. To accessorize her soft blush-toned Armani Prive dress, the actress added stone embellishments around her slicked back bun. And if those pale green stones look a touch familiar, they also graced Beyonce’s Armani Prive dress as well. We think the flash of pastel looks lovely against Katie’s dark hair, and it’s always nice to see something a little outside the norm that actually works! Will this be the next big trend?

Bravo to Katie for being fresh and unique in the fashion dept. I am Asian American and I have seen this beautiful fashion in Japan,Korea,China esp in the Phillipines. Some even have pearls.
In America, they’re like what the heck is that or they know nothing about it but beautiful Katie Holmes is really coming into her own.
I love Katie’s hair and I thought I should do that for my wedding. Actually now that you mention it, I think it was rather original!!!! Her whole couture looked amazing- to use her favourite word.
It looks good, but I’m starting a movement called “Cut your hair Katie” I think she would look so amazing with a pixie cut, just like Dawsons Creek buddy Michelle Williams.
Like I said previously, I love the stones in Katie’s hairstyle. They look better in her hair than they ever looked on Beyonce’s dress. How I hope this becomes a new trend. It’s such a fresh, new look.
Yeah Sheri, I want Katie to color her hair or go for a crop, just for a change. She has beautiful hair, but a change would be nice too. Now that Posh has gone blonde, I hope Katie also follow, though not with Blonde. I loved the stones in her hair too. They will be trendy

Actually, if you keep in mind the EVENT she’s attending, i think both the hair and dress was a tad overdone. Firstly she was attending the Vanity Fair post-oscars party and she ended up wearing a dress that was “full big” and chunky and then she has this hairstyle which reminded me of a highschool prom or wedding. Its been overdone. I wonder if it was really Victoria Beckham who dressed her!! It looked BAD.

Samantha, I disagree with you. I think she looked just spot on for the occassion and for her new stature as Mrs Tom cruise. I liked her whole ensemble, actually I was blown away.
I wish her hair was this beautiful for her wedding. Maybe with more diamonds to match her wedding gown. What did you think of her wedding hair as compared to this?
gm i agree with you, i did not like her hairdo for her wedding. I did not understand why she let the tiny bang out, maybe she wanted a reminder of Suri.
