Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise are spending some girl time together while Tom Cruise is most likely back in Los Angeles. Katie and Tom had a whirlwind anniversary weekend when Katie flew back to Los Angeles last Sunday and Tom flew to New York to spend their 2nd anniversary together. There celebration was definitely low key, but how exhausting that must be to fly back and forth. I would definitely do it for my family though.
Yesterday, November 20th, Katie and Suri were seen out and about in New York. Suri was wearing her adorable ruby red Mary Jane’s and Katie had quite the eye makeup on. I wonder if it was for a fashion shoot? It had to be for something because we never see her with that much makeup on, unless it’s for a spot on Eli Stone or something else career related.
I like how her hair is out of her face and with that heavy eye makeup on, she looks stunning! If this is for an ad campaign, I can’t wait to see the pictures.

Young, fresh, edgy, I like it. It’s better than nothing, which is what she’s been doing lately. If it was her and not a makeup artist I hope she keeps it up!
I think the ad campaign could be really, really good for Katie! I would love to see her in something edgy and modern and Mui-Mui is just that. Look at who they’ve used in the past: Chloe Seivegny is very cutting edge in terms of fashion. They also used L. Lohan who’s kinda a tabloid staple, but I’d prefer not to think about that. I hope they’re using Katie for her fashion sense and not her tabloid noteriety.
Perhaps it’ll give Katie a fresh perspective in the eyes of the public! A little more youthful, edgy and fun.
Fashionwise, it would be appropriate to compare Katie to Lindsay, but not to Chloe. Chloe has a distinct sense of style. I would compare Chloe more to Sienna Miller. I don’t always like their choices, but they always make a statement. I believe most of the time, although not always, Katie’s clothes wear her instead of the other way around.

I too wish this is true, maybe Katie was giving us a hint, hence the dark make up. I whinge a lot about her hair and being too thin but you have to admit she can wear anything and everything, and truly all the Hollywood actresses look the same, similar clothes, same hair, same everything, in the few months she’s been in NY , Katie has worn every type of jean there is, every style boot, shorts every style of jacket, long short , cropped, denim, that man suit, whether we like it or not , I don’t think in the world of fashion and design that this fact goes unnoticed, and she’s still very new at it. Alot of people thought that Katie was chosen for the part in AMS for her celebrity, but even if she was , she hasn’t disappointed and seems to have done well in the play, there was a huge level of meaness thrown at her, and whether she is the new face of M M or not, Ithink its because people are taking notice. I have said it before, I like what she’s been wearing, its just a couple of other things I wish she would make right.
