Katie Holmes was out and about today (May 27) looking so very cute. She was wearing a black dress and carrying her favorite Valextra bag.
Katie’s hair is getting long enough for her to pull back now and it’s just looking really good. (Okay, I know you guys are probably sick of me talking about her hair, but I am just so happy to see it getting long again. Just bare with me here.)
Katie, Tom and Connor were all present at the Memorial Day Concert in Washington D.C. Katie did a phenomenal job re-enacting the experiences of Staff Sergeant Jose Pequeno a soldier from New Hampshire. Katie played Pequeno’s younger sister Elizabeth.

I agree kelly. The dress is unflattering and pairing a casual dress with mile high pumps is all wrong. The bag matches nothing and is too boxy for a casual outfit. She should have paired the dress (if she just had to wear it) with cute flats or sandals and a boho bag IMO. I hope this is not another example of Katie’s design. If it is, she sincerely needs a new partner (not to mention a new stylist) to lead her in another direction. She just doesn’t know how to put things together!!
julie: you are in good company here….I think its safe to say we all agree that Katie is looking GREAT with her hair getting longer!!! I think her hair looks wonderful in these pics and in the D.C. photos. I LOVE her longer bangs pulled behind her ear, and I also love the ponytail look on her. She is looking so hot again!! I love the black dress but as I scanned teh last pic I gasped in horror that she chose a stiletto with that casual dress….I was expecting to see a cute ballet flat on her. I agree 100% with CRose…a flat would have made infinite sense. A red ballet or sandal would have looked fantastic. I am ok with the bag….not crazy about it…I agree again with CRose that a boho chic style would have been a better choice but I can live with the white tote….but the stilettos…HEAVENS NO! PS. I thought she looked GORGEOUS in DC….great dress, pantsuit, hair and makeup. Th eonly negative…she appeared too nervous on stage….needs to hide that.
Note to Katie: Your dress is babydoll style, ruffles, lightweight cotton, summery…your shoes are businesswoman, tailored, and of a heavier leather weight. The shoes need to be worn with a pantsuit, a black pencil skirt…a 9 to 5 look…..not a “I’m hitting the Starbucks on my way to the beach in my little babydoll cotton shift”. Where is her stylist to tell her these things????
I think she looks cute, no one said glamourous, just cute. Inspite of the dark color, the dress manages to look summery.
For once I agree with CR, Katie should have opted for flats with this dress! I agree with Lauren too though, she still looks cute, and that dress does still manage to look summary even though it’s black. On another positive note, isn’t she looking healthy here? Her hair, her skin, she’s all smiles too – great to see!!!
if she were pregnant, I would say… Adorable! But honestly I hope she donated that dressthat day, as you all say, IMHO;)

I think Katie looks better with longer hair. It makes her look more feminine and youthful.
I don’t care for this dress but I like her handbag.
I love this dress! Does anyone know who the designer is? I would love to try and find a pattern near it and sew one for myself! I don’t really like the choice of shoes paired with it…I personally would probably do some cute flops or sandals…not a heel. But the dress looks comfy and something you could just throw on and be feminine without having to worry about sucking your tummy in on the days you don’t feel like trying so hard!
Please let me know if anyone knows who makes this dress!

Maybe she’s channeling her inner ‘Angelina Jolie Pregnant with Twins’ look. Maybe that will help her get pregnant…if she wants to. She seems to be keeping herself busy with new projects to work on.
I think Katie looks cute, agree with everyone about the shoes, but real cute is the pic where she is wearing the yellow dress.
The dress and Katie are adorable.. The shoes-well sandals would have completed this adorable look.

Moi, je trouve cette tenue très jolie. La robe “casual” est tendance et raffinée avec tous ces plis. Les chaussures fines et hautes allègent l’ensemble. Avec des chaussures plates, elle aurait eu l’air d’un sac, car la robe est large.
La couleur rouge donne une touche de couleur.
J’aurais peut-être ajouté un collier, mais c’est parfait.
Une française
