Katie Rocks a Green Beanie

spl84632_001

Here are some more photos of Katie Holmes walking to the set of “The Extra Man”. She ditched the white beanie and was rockin’ a cute green one today (March 5). I wonder if beanie sales have gone up in the last couple of days? I bet they have!

Katie is definitely known for her style and the rumors of her creating a children’s clothing line are true. In her interview with Glamour magazine, they asked about this supposed clothing line.

GLAMOUR: She’ll be happy to hear that— there go her Amazon numbers! And what’s this about a clothing line?

KH: My friend Jeanne Yang and I have been working together. She’s got twin girls about six years old, and we both grew up with mothers who sewed. We started about a year ago, sketching different things, trying to find comfortable clothing for our daughters that is also pretty and cute. We just started, and we’ve played around with doing things for women as well.

I am really looking forward to seeing some clothes that Katie and her friend have designed.

Months ago I wrote that she was involved in her own designs and many on this site wrote that this was just a rumor. TMZ reported this well over half a year now and thats why I always mention that as a designer she should know how to put outfits together and dress better than what she does. It makes no sense to me that as a clothing creator she puts items on her body that make no sense being worn together.

Jenna, people magazine said it a long time ago. Infact one of her red carpet dresses- I forget which premier- was her own design. Remember she has been seen with a book with dress drawings in the past. I am not sure anyone disputed that she was into fashion. But I do remember her being connected to a certain designer and she denied it.

Just out of interest, if any of you were presented with Vivienne Westwood without knowing who she was, would you believe for one second that she could be one of the most famous and successful names in fashion?? Not me! Personally, I love Katie’s sense of style, it’s very young and safely edgy, something any 20/30 something can wear. No, it’s not all elegant with matching scarves, gloves & hats, like someone in a Chanel advert. It’s supposed to be a bit mismatched, a little bit clashing, that’s the fun with fashion at the moment, I feel like it’s taken the ‘anything goes’ leaf out of the 70/80’s eras. Maybe when I hit 40/50 I’ll feel like doing the Chanel bit and dressing more classically, but I’m the same age as Katie, and until that happens I’m gonna rock the little bit mismatched look and enjoy it :)

    I agree Yappy.

There are too many things that influence fashion for it to be a case of must match and go together styles.

Many times when you do see some of the world’s most famous designers on the street you do have to do a double take because their design excellence don’t always translate to their own personal style.

Someone once pointed out a very famous designer on a NYC street to me and all I could say was you’ve got to be kidding! :)

I like much of what Katie wears and I love that she’s daring and mixes it up.
Fashion to me is daring to be different. Katie does that and still manages to look stylish.

Lauren, Katie designed the outfit she wore to the Tropic Thunder premier, it was nice , the style suited her, very flattering on her, the pencil style skirt was just below the knee, it suits her better than short skirts and high heels although , love her in shorts and boots.

Katie apparently designed Tom’s Santa suit as well. LOL
I mean I love Tom, but can you really corner the market on designing the santa suit?
