No big deal. (The Teotihuacan pyramids in Mexico, that is.)
This is the kind of irreverent stuff Katy shares from her travels around the world.
It's one thing to perform or give interviews as your alter-ego (coughJo Calderonecough), but what about writing secret missives inviting fans to tinychat sessions?
Forget the presence of Faith Hill and other country stars... what the hell is that giant purple thing supposed to be?
Katy loves all of her costumes, even the unsexy ones.
No big deal. (The Teotihuacan pyramids in Mexico, that is.)
Katy says she found this pog and photo of '90s heartthrob Jonathan Taylor Thomas in her purse. See, this is the geekiness we like to see in her, not that awful Kathy Beth Terry caricature.
As Liana pointed out, this makeup coupled with that hair makes Katy look quite a bit like Mischa Barton--which is a costume in and of itself!
If Katy ever wants to seem ordinary, all she has to do is shoot photos next to this larger-than-life tribute to Justin Bieber. (Doesn't he look even more feminine here?)
Katy likes to show off manicures that match her projects--Smurf nails, candy-colored ones for the "California Gurls" video--but at least she understands how ridiculous these are. In the original Twitpic, she jokes about how it took forever to type out one sentence with these metallic claws.
Whoever said the celebrity world isn't just a grown-up version of high school should see this photo. Even though Mark Zuckerberg is probably richer than Katy Perry, you still think "Why is that popular girl hugging that nerd?"
Katy will never get away from this, which is too bad since it's not the most flattering. Russell Brand posted this pic of his unsuspecting wife one morning, and while he probably took it down as soon as she started screaming at him, thanks to the Internet it will live on.
