The 20-year-old Idol 5 sixth-place finisher is dating 24-year-old Nashville Predators forward Jordin Tootoo, Us Magazine reported Wednesday.
“We’ve been seeing each other since January, but we kept it under wraps,” Pickler told Us.
Tootoo, who is originally from Churchill, Manitoba in Canada and has Inuit Eskimo lineage, reportedly invited the Albemarle, NC-native to one of his games and the romance began to blossom from there.
“I am this country bumpkin and he’s an Eskimo,” Pickler told Us, adding she plans to visit his hometown this summer. “I’m going to build an igloo!”
Pickler is the second in a line of American Idol blond bombshells dating rising sports stars — Carrie Underwood is romantically involved with Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.

Kellie doesn’t deserve to be with someone like him. Her statement in US magazine about him being an Eskimo and building igloos was extremely IGNORANT. First of all, from my experiences calling an Inuit person an eskimo is like calling an African American the ‘N’ word. And about the igloo, people don’t live in igloos. Those comments just prove that Kellie Pickler is ANOTHER extremely uneducated redneck American. Maybe next time Kellie decides to open her mouth she should do some research.

you see im the type of person who can see what type of people belong to gether, and im sorry to say that somthing in their relationship is going to happen… somthing bad. So I am here to warn Jordin and Kelly so they wont get their hearts torn appart, like I have its better to give it u now and not be heartbroke than to have an argument and never speak to one another..ever.
