Hell has officially frozen over: Kim Zolciak is now the most sympathetic looking of the Atlanta housewives. It started last week when Sheree pulled her wig in the middle of the street. Listen, I don’t care how bad of a “liar” Kim is/was, there’s no excuse for anyone to put their hands on anyone unless their lives were in imminent danger. Unless the smell of Kim’s perfume was now toxic, there was no reason for Sheree to have done that.
This week, the Regina George treatment of Kim continued when Lisa and Sheree flat out made fun of Kim’s singing while she was just a few paces away at the King Tut party. Speaking of, the producer-arranged outings on this show are a bit much. Send the women shopping and to spa treatments, not a subject they clearly have no interest in. Nice for King Tut to get some PR, but that was like sending the Rock of Love girls to a bible study class. It doesn’t work.

On this episode, we see the beginning of the conflict between Nene and new housewife Kandi Buruss. It was extremely clear that the reason was jealousy. Nene is the Queen Bee right now, with Lisa and Sheree being her Kim-hating minions. Nene also knows how badly Kim wants to be friends with her again and is used to having Kim under her thumb; notice how she’s the one who orchestrates all these get-togethers. So, when Nene saw Kandi and Kim actually having a conversation, she immediately decided Kandi was “ghetto” and the trash talk begun. Nene knows she won’t be able to control Kandi, and that kills her.
And what’s great about this is Kandi and Kim had the best plot lines on this complete snoozer of an episode. Kim attempting to tutor her daughter and then asking if sightseeing was a verb was priceless. When her daughter was explaining what a verb was, it was like she was being told some kind of ancient secret. And then, when they couldn’t decide if it was a verb or an adjective, Kim solves it all by saying “It’s a catch-22!” Who knew Kim Zolciak was a fan of the classic Joseph Heller novel? Are they cutting out all the scenes of Kim at her book club?
Kandi’s heartbreaking engagement continues. This week, her mom refused to even be photographed with her fiancee AJ, just plain leaving the room when he comes in. That scene a few weeks ago with Kandi talking to her mother, aunts, and Ed Hardy wearing uncle was so real and unstaged, reminding me of all of my loud aunts who don’t let you get a word in edgewise and love fiercely. There was no faking the dissapointment Kandi felt when her mother rejected AJ so blatantly at the photo shoot. The worst part is Kandi’s mother is probably right about AJ being a poor choice, but you can feel how badly Kandi wants to be married.
Compare that to the blah moment between Lisa Wu Hartwell and her brother. I know I’m biased against Lisa because I honestly find her to be a complete phony, but didn’t those scenes of her crying remind you of Tamra Barney crying over her parent’s 20 year old divorce? It’s like the producers told them to each come up with some kind of tragedy, and that was Lisa’s.

Anybody catch Kim on the Wendy Williams Show today? She was catching some serious slack from Wendy. Lots of don’t-date-married-men references and such. Not that she doesn’t deserve that, to some extent, maybe.. but the way she was being called out? Really? She started trying to defend herself but was kind of getting brushed aside while Wendy kept talking and telling Kim to ‘keep up the drama’ for entertainment’s sake.
Kim was also sitting in front of the audience, not on stage with Wendy. So it was kind of odd. She obviously didn’t just happen to be there, but she wasn’t exactly a guest either. I didn’t catch the first few minutes, so I’m not quite sure what the deal was.

You pretty much echoed my feelings on these women. Nene has become obnoxious and borderline annoying this season. But then again, she’s always been that way. I think more people are just starting to catch on. From what I’ve read, a lot of her fans are starting to dislike her.
Her jealousy towards Kandi is obvious and very uncalled for.
This season just seems so fake. I mean Lisa’s working out in a full face of makeup. So did the makeup artist come to her home to do her become right before her workout? I mean what the hell??
Lisa and Nene’s conversations seem so fake, phony and forced. Then again it might be due to the fact that Nene has mentioned several times she does not consider any of these women to be her friends, but rather co-workers. So why are you all pretending to be friends on TV?
Poor Sheree, her pathetic attempt to be Team Nene and beat up on Kim is backfiring. She’s still the least favorite housewife.
I also agree, they need to keep their hands to themselves. How old are these women again?
