Kimberley Locke Is Cranky About Clay Aiken

KimberlyLocke 136This was posted on Kimberley Locke’s blog in September but I didn’t see it until today. Read it for yourself:

I just wanted to clarify that recently during an interview regarding my “Christmas” album will Billboard, I was asked about any fellow Idols that I may speak with. I mentioned that I had spoken with only Clay and Ruben because I do try my best to keep in touch with them. I went on to say in that interview that I had spoken with them about a reunion concert tour idea and that Ruben and Clay were game for it because they told me they were. In fact, in my last conversation with Clay he suggested that my manager and agents contact his. They did. And they have spoken. And in telling Billboard we were “in talks” and “Now it’s up to our agents and managers to book it,” I was being truthful in the information that I had received. I told Billboard I was 2457821753[1]“hopeful” that the tour would come together. (That didn’t get printed.) In no way did I imply that we were all committed to this tour idea. So contrary to Clay feeling “unfortunate,” that the story “found it’s way to the press unauthorized,” it was not “unauthorized.” It was put out there my me, who conceived the touring idea and called my friends for their involvement. If Clay had chosen to return my phone calls over the last two months, he would perhaps not feel as “unfortunate,” and he would have been made aware that I mentioned it to Billboard. I want to thank the fans of Clay and Ruben and my own who were positive and supportive of this idea, which again, was just an idea. It will now be put to rest.

Meow, meow.

Kimberley really shouldn’t have said anything to Billboard about a possible tour until it had been finalized. She knows how the press can take something and run with it before its been verified.
On the other hand I would have enjoyed seeing the 3 together again.

    I agree Bev, 100%

It is unfortunate that Kimberley had the preliminary plans for a Reunion Tour out in the press before anything was decided.

Isn’t that putting the Cart before the Horse??

People post things that are in-talk all of the time and this one was one of many that didn’t work out. Kimberly has every right to be upset in my opinion. He would have known, if he had answered her calls. I think it’s good that she clarified herself.

  4. Mandy

Gee, if Clay hadn’t returned Kim’s calls re: The Tour, perhaps Kim should have taken the hint.

    Whatevah. This is old news.

I don’t know who sent this to you or why, but it is an unfortunate incident that would be better left to the principals to settle.

It is interesting that Ruben is trying to stay out of it, smart man.

If I were to guess, it would be aht there was some nostalgia around the AI2rewind interview time and there was sweet reminiscing, but Kim thought she had a plan and the others were just being nice about it. It should have never gotten this far without further confirmation and I hope they settle this and remain friends.

With Clay and Ruben both coming out with new albums next year, besides the lopsided fandoms and the fan group animosity, there is no logical way this could have happened in 2008.

I believe it was a turd stirrer that sent this to you. I like to think that friends can settle their differences without others interferring.

This story is all over the internet today, I doubt anybody sent it in. I’ve seen it on several blogs.

Jean – I saw this on Kimberley Locke’s website. The link is in my original post. SHE is the one talking about it and putting it out there for everyone to know about. I don’t think it’s the most classy or professional thing to do but she did it and I read it and I put it here to see what you guys thought.

Clay blogged to his fans about the Billboard article at his fan club site almost a month ago. Kim wrote her blog a day or so later. He did not blame Kim for the media reporting, rather he said it was unfortunate that the media put out so many details without checking the facts. Clay was on tour during the 2 months she says she was trying to reach him. Maybe their respective people talked, but clearly no agreement was reached and Clay says it is not happening. I hope that they have since talked and worked out the communication issue. Ruben seems to be (wisely) staying out of it entirely.

My apologies then – this comment was put on Kimberley’s blog weeks ago, hence I thought someone sent it in. I did not expect anyone to have time to maintain this site and check out all the idols, there are so many now.

The last time I checked, this has not been in the news, it is on blogs only. A few blogs use names that are vaguely associated with legitimate news media, but are not legitimate reporters (ex. tribune), others are normal blogs. This may have changed, but I don’t see why.

As I said, old news that has recently been stirred. It is unfortunate that issues occur, but idols are humans as well and sometimes say things that are not tactful and may be incorrect – much like me.

Kimberly is clearly stirring this up herself now again, after this was laid to rest by Clay some time ago. The guilty can never shut up!

She clearly KNEW that neither Clay nor Ruben or their Teams had finalized ANYTHING about this tour.

She told Billboard absolute lies regarding the specifics of a bogus tour. It was very obvious she was trying to force Clay’s hand! How underhanded can she be?!

If you listen to Clay during his various interviews, when he is asked who’s numbers are in his phone he always mentions Ruben. He has never said Kim.

I don’t think there is any love lost here. Kim has spoken disparigingly of Clay in the past. I don’t appreciate her voice or her person at all

The ole green monster continues to rear it’s ugly head! How sad!

    :(

I believe the problem was that Kim mentioned the “Tour” in interviews and in a PressRelease and made it seem as though it was official and only needed to be booked by venues. It was reported as fact by news programs and on radio stations all over the US. Fans were curious, Clay blogged and stated in no uncertain terms that it was not true and it was never agreed upon by himself or his management but put the blame towards the media as “unfortunate” that it was reported with so many details as fact. Kim chose to respond in this manner. Clay was just finishing his summer tour about the time this came out. But Perez is a little late in his slamming of all things celebrity and it’s now popping up on blogs. The only thing unfortunate is that it was all made so public when it never should have been.

    Kim needs to grow up…

If it’s not confirmed, don’t bla bit out to Billboard and the rest of the world.

&& she still has the nerve to get mad.

    ha!

    whateverrr…

  13. Nola

I think Kimberly can’t get a real audience without Clay and Ruban. She has a few good songs out, but not that great as an entertainer.

    Kitty,

Clay was on tour when she was “calling”!!

  15. aliricaba

    Kitty,

Exactly where are you coming from that Kim had a right to be upset? She had no right in her interview with Billboard to lie about a tour that was NEVER agreed upon! If you don’t get an answer then that means its a go?

    Puleez!!!

    How gullible!

  16. Samantha

Kimberly was way out of line.

YES, Clay would have brought in a huge audience for the two of them to enjoy, but he had not the time or inclination, obviously. He can easily tour alone, and does.

I think she was trying to force him into something he did not want to do. Good for him for standing his ground. Shame on HER!

  17. Anny

I think Kimberley Locke is completely full of herself. I don’t care for her one bit.

She was out of line. Clay blogged the truth. She has the nerve to get mad over something she didn’t consult with him for.

He is really busy as it is anyway.

Retract your frigging claws Kim, and blame yourself.

  18. psbintl

Anny, I completely agree with you!

History has shown Kim has never really been a good friend to Clay. It is QUITE apparent she is extremely jealous of his success.

Clay is just finishing his eighth successful tour since AI2 ended!

Kim couldn’t fill a parking lot full of fans! She is not that great a vocalist (her voice has no refinement and she needs more voice lessons!) and she is a boring entertainer!

Clay, on the other hand fills concert halls and arenas and is beloved for his outstanding voice, comedic timing and showmanship!

Prominent media personalities have commented Clay has the fan following they remember seeing with the likes if Elvis and the Beatles!

This is the type of entertainer who will be around for a long time!

    Not Kimberly Locke!

  19. Scott

Clay Aiken is nothing more than a Barry Manilow wannabe. Kim is smoking hot!

  20. psbintl

    Scott,

It is obvious you are in love with Kim’s body, what man wouldn’t be? She is pretty and she has the pretty face, the boobs and the curves to back that up.

But she does not have the talent vocally that Clay does, no doubt about that. Nor is she able to draw the crowds in as Clay can, no doubt about that either! Maybe if you start listening to music with your ears instead of from your groin and you might fare better!

As far as Clay being a Barry Manilow wannabe, what a laugh that is!

Even Barry Manilow has said not only is Clay better looking than he, but he has also said Clay is a better vocalist as well.
