Many astute readers noticed that Angelina Jolie’s arm tattoo is a bit bigger than it was the last time we saw her with bare arms. As most fans know, Angelina has the geographical co-ordinates of the location of the birth of each of her children tattooed onto her left arm – Cambodia for Maddox, Ethiopia for Zahara, Namibia for Shiloh, and Vietnam for Pax.
Now, she has added two rows with France for the birth of both Knox and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt. Here’s a better view:
I know not everyone is into tattoos, but I think it’s a really wonderful tradition that she has, and a very original way to celebrate your children.
6 tatt’s for 6 kids. 1 each. just because knox and viv are twins, they are still their own person! when they get older, they will want to see their own birth tatt, even if they are the same
The whole family is in New Orleans. What comes to her tattoos I think it´s great that she has them. In that way she shows the whole world that she wants to be a little different than others. She has this unique way of celebrating the birth (or adoption) of their children. But what I don´t understand why two identical tattoos? After all Knox and Vivienne were born at the same place (Nice, France). But maybe that´s because she truly wants to prove her uniqueness.
I am not into tattoos either but I think Angie’s generation loves it. I think it distracts the formal Versace dress and then you see markings on her skin (like a biker or a Navy guy from Olongapo). It just seems unusual to be wearing a formal dress with tattoos. But that is our Angie, an original. I still adore her for what’s inside.
I’m not a tatoo person, but this is so creative, I love the idea.
I liked the idea of this tatoo from the beginning, but I kinda wonder why she got the same coordinates twice (no, it didn’t go unnoticed by me that she had twins ;) ). Once would have been enough though and there’d be room for more (not that there isn’t)….

I just saw those new photos of Brad and beside that he really looks cute, have you noticed that he smiles a lot and really looks happy and he has done that on the premiere night and I think that they as couple are really going stronger and all of that is based that they can not be without each other.
I am so happy for them!!!!
The Jolie-Pitts are probably in NOLA and Matt Damon might be visiting (he’s in a nearby state). They’re probably catching up with friends and projects before they go back to Berlin.

Brad’s in New Orleans again, not sure if the rest of the family is with him. But he’s riding a bike with a sketch of Barrack Obama in one hand. We know who he’s voting for, Angie hasn’t said anything else about it since she mentioned she was undecided (Or just didn’t want to publicly state who she’s voting for, nor should she have to.)
I have to agree with Susan. No matter how noble the intention, I find the human body so beautiful without all of those marks.
If they adopt and have as many children as they say, those tattoos are gonna be all the way down to her elbow by the time they’re done! LOL!
Susan – when comments are moderated, they have to be pushed through manually. I try to get to them as regularly as possible but I’m also doing things with my family, housework, and other work all in the same day, so sometimes comments don’t go through until the next day. I actually put your other comment through earlier this morning, if you go peek at the entry you’ll see it.

i don´t like tattos, but they look good on Angie. and those on her arm are a very sweet idea.

I love love love Angelina, but I hate the tattoos, even the ones for the kids. I will never understand why people want to permanently mark their body, but that’s just my opinion, and I don’t think any less of her for doing it.
She started a tradition of using tatoos to celebrate milestones or somthing she believe in so why stop now.

I am not a tatoo person, but what AJ has done is wonderful. It shows she always celebrates her children’s birth.
