Kris Allen decided to sing “Heartless” by Kanye West and everyone in my house jumped and looked at each other with shocked faces. He chose to accompany himself on the acoustic guitar and he completely, absolutely, 1000% blew me away. I was extraordinarily stunned and impressed and I think that Kris has really solidified himself as an artist, whether he wins or not.
Randy said that he liked that version better than the original Kanye version. Kara said it was bold, brave and fearless and added “the tone, the pitch, the phrasing 100%.” Paula said he sang a song about Simon Cowell and she commends him for doing something so current. Simon said the first song was a lame choice and that he had written Kris off as a result but that his performance of “Heartless” made him change his mind.

Kris Allen is definitely an artist to watch out for, I hope he gets a record deal A.S.A.P. because my friends and I are going to buy his CD. It will be great to listen to while driving or while hangin’ out. Finally, a fresh and welcome talent from AI. The judges are so crazy about flashy styles and drama, when a record is really all about melody and sound. And Kris can play instruments, make his own arrangements. He will last long in the music industry.
What I always liked about Kris is that he stayed true to himself.
Kris from the beginning had a snow balls chance in hell. He was supposed to be cannon fodder, but with his talent and creativity Kris stepped up the plate and won many people over. Kris is more than a mere singer. Kris is a musician, a song writer and an artist.
Actually Simon said he written out when he heard his song choice, not because of his first song.
I like Kris a lot. He is soooo cute and very talented.
Best performance of the whole night, but I have a bad feeling he will go home, hopefully not though.
By far one of my favorites this year next to Allison.

In my opinion Kris Allen is the bomb..! I’ve been liking him since the first day of the competition. The judges didnt pay that much attention to him, but when his version of Heartless was sang last nite, everybody was shocked on what he is capable of doing i personally think that he will be able to sell a lot of records because he is an artist,a true singer, and not to mention a very good looking guy!!

Best performance this year. This version would sell bucketloads. Dont know why the judges seem hung up on an inferior final of Gokey and Lambert. I think Allen could be this years Chris Daughtry in terms of success.
