Kristy Lee Cook "15 Minutes of Shame"

This is an acoustic version of Kristy Lee Cook‘s single “15 Minutes of Shame.”  The American Idol season 7 finalist belts out a revenge-type of song and I think it’s actually pretty good.  I wasn’t Kristy’s biggest fan while she was on the show but I think that when she sings music that is better suited for her voice, she sounds great!  I like the lyrics too.  We’ve all been there, right?

I heard this song this morning on my way in to work.. I LOVED IT! I’m a country music fan.. and knew this had to be someone I’d never heard of before. I don’t watch American Idol.. it’s wayyyy too pop for me. So.. for me to like this song.. love the voice.. it’s got to be a good one and a darn good singer, too.
Hope to hear it often on country radio…

i loved her on the show. i felt like she wasn’t accepted this season cuz she was a country girl in a season of rockers. but i love her, and i love 15 mins of shame. i think it’s such a good song. and yeah, haha. been there.

I have to disagree! The song is great and I don’t doubt her talent – how could you? But it sounds as if she is forcing her voice out of her throat… and not really opening up to sing.

Fantastic! If anyone has any doubts about her talent, this should erase them. I bought her first CD and it is Fantastic. “Good Luck”, the first song on it is Great. Can’t wait for “Why Wait”.
