Kyle XY Episode 3.2 “Psychic Friend”

Kyle has never been one to believe in the supernatural. In his mind, everything has a scientific explanation. Even the most bizarre events can be explained by science or some complex math. When Kyle encounters a psychic would predicted the future accurately, his beliefs were challenged.
Kyle had a strange nightmare about Cassidy holding Amanda hostage and Cassidy saying “it’s too late!” for Kyle. The next day at a summer street fair, Josh and Andy checked out a psychic who told Josh about a secret he was keeping. When Kyle came into the psychic’s tent, she told him that his soulmate will be in danger that night when the white rabbit swims.
Kyle became concerned for Amanda’s safety so he would not let her out of his sight. He had Jessi and Lori stick around her and that drove Amanda crazy, declaring a Kyle-free night out.
The prediction came true when Amanda and the girls went to a band concert on a boat by the river. An accident sent Jessi crashing into the water and Kyle saved her.
Was Jessi (and not Amanda) the soulmate that the psychic talked about? Who knows for now, but this might have totally worked if we didn’t find out at the end that the whole scenario was orchestrated by Cassidy. It was all a farce, and all intended to lead Kyle to believe that Jessi is his soul mate.
Whatever effect this would have on Kyle’s relationships with Jessi and Amanda is still to be seen. Maybe Cassidy was driving Kyle toward Jessi.
Meantime, Lori was still mad at Hillary over the kiss fiasco with Declan, but she was also flirting with college-boy geek Mark, who happens to be her dad’s lab assistant (and in cahoots with Cassidy). Yeah, what’s up with that? Declan told Lori at the end of the night that it is unfair of her to hold him back. Lori needs to figure out who she really likes. Is she rebounding Mark, or does she just want to be possessive of Declan. I think Declan and Hillary might have a chance together, and seeing this play out would be fun.
I kind of like the Mark/Lori matchup but not if he continues to be a Latnok flunkie. The boy is smart and needs to wise up that he is on the wrong side! Tonight’s ep looks to be a tear jerker for me since I am a Kyle/Amanda fan. Add to that the fact that we will see Kyle (Matt Dallas) cry…………it’s going to be hard to watch!! Still, this is such a great show that I can’t wait until tonight to see it!!
This show is great. Tonight’s episode was truly awesome. The cast is very talented. Long live Kyle XY!
