It took three seasons, but it finally happened! David Beckham will be heading to the MLS playoffs with the Los Angeles Galaxy. The team clinched a playoff spot when they defeated the Chicago Fire 1-0 on Saturday.
Landon Donovan scored the game’s only goal. The video below is some highlights from the game!
David was quick to praise Landon and his team.
“I said that when I first came back that this team has players that are not afraid to pass the ball and to make plays on their own, and maybe we haven’t had that over the last couple of years,” he said Friday during practice. “And we’ve got strength in depth as well with the players that we’ve got coming in. We’ve got a stronger squad of players more than anything. Of course, having Bruce know the league and know the players and know the way he wants us to play, it’s working out well so far.”
Congratulations to the Galaxy! I know they worked very hard this season and it certainly payed off.
