In an interview on 106 & Park, Lady Gaga was asked a little bit about her “Video Phone” collaboration with Beyoncé. Gaga said she didn’t want to reveal too much, but that she was given three days to come up with a verse for the song and was able to learn the choreography a day before shooting.
LG also said that she wanted to kind of tribute Beyoncé and how powerful she’s become, so she said that rather than being “Lady Gaga” she took on a Beyoncé type personality for the video.
But that wasn’t all for the praise that Gaga dished out for Beyoncé. She had more great things to say in a different interview: "You know she is such a beautiful person, and I gotta tell you, I just adore her. I had kind of lost faith a little bit in meeting artists in the business — and then I met Beyoncé."
"She is a real, real woman. I have never laughed so hard on a video set in my life. We had the best time doing ‘Video Phone.’ "
