Last night on Launch My Line, the designers were surprised by the “inspiration” they were given. They were taken to an art gallery and given individual nude models to use as their inspiration for an asymmetrical look to add to their line. It didn’t seem like an easy task at all!
Vanessa said that she wanted to step her style back a bit because the judges weren’t saying anything favorable about her looks so far. However, a short, gold dress with huge pockets that emphasize the wearer’s hips just isn’t a good look.
The judges decided to cut Vanessa’s line. Personally, I’m not sure how she made it this far in the competition. Her design style is far too over the top for the mainstream buyer and I can’t see that her line would make any money. Even though she’s incredibly creative, she really isn’t thinking about the end users at all.

love the winning dress…would wear that in a heartbeat! Go Merle n Thai!!!
