Lauren Graham on The View

Lauren Graham appeared today on The View to talk about her role in Guys and Dolls. And she talks about Gilmore Girls too!

Lauren, wearing a black dress accented in white, sits on the View couch and is asked first off to talk about American Idol and Dancing with the Stars. She loves to watch shows where people get to improve week by week. Lauren talks about the intensity of physical work on Guys and Dolls, as opposed to “that tv show” (Lauren often doesn’t say Gilmore Girls directly, hey?).

The ladies of The View ask Lauren about her experience in music theater, and Lauren shares her experience in West Side Story in college. She’s talked about this many times now, but always manages to bring something fresh to the table. After some dirty jokes, they transition to talking about Lauren’s upcoming pilot, The Bridget Show. They talk more about what women do for love in both this new series and in Guys and Dolls.

Lauren was asked about how she feels about stripping in Guys and Dolls, to which Lauren shares:

“I felt nervous and afraid… it’s burlesque, she’s a dancer in a club that I think probably in her mind is a little fancier than it is. So, there’s always like a number, and then the clothes come off. It was really frightening. I actually have quite a bit of clothing on, but it doesn’t look like it.”

Cute interview! The preview mentions Lauren talking about Gilmore Girls more, but the clip didn’t show that. I’m not sure if there was more video or if the teaser was misleading. I’ll look into it!

Just for the sake of it, I will say that those prices are outrageous…

Again, on Jimmy Fallon, she wore a $1,895.00 dress from the Michael Kors Collection and a $795.00 pair of Christian Louboutin Collection shoes. The shoes look like the ones she wore at the open night party for Guys and Dolls.

Opps, forgot to comment on the show. As much as I like Lauren’s crazyness on shows such as Ellen, I like her best like she was on the View. I like it when she actually talks about her projects. It was a great interview and I am glad that she was able to talk about Guys and Dolls and also her new TV show The Bridget Show. All we needed was a little something about The Answer Man. That’s our girl, a star on stage, tv and movies. All she needs now is a record deal.
Now I can’t wait to see her on the Jimmy Fallon show.

    Hi Mac
Little hard to explain here given that I am not sure what age this sites readers range from.

Lets just say lauren was saying she was doing a pilot as in the name for a test for a new show where as the other lady was talking about airline pilots. ‘nough said???

    Thank you for the vid.

That would be great if somebody could explain the joke about the pilot. English is not my mother tongue and I have to say I couldn’t catch everything. Thanks in advance.

Suzi, I totally agree with you regarding your “analysis” of LG.
I can’t wait to see her on her new show.

Even though she didn’t refer to GG by name I think she assumed everybody knew what she was talking about.
What I like is that she gets to mention it more and more on her interviews, like she felt nostalgic. But maybe that’s just my imagination…

Thanks Arieanna – a real treat for thouse of us in the little country across the pond who dont get the luxury of the view.

For those of you upset that GG didn’t get mentioned by name – there are two ways to look at it. Perhaps she just assumed that those in the know would know – so no name needed.

The woman is sickening – how can one person be so beautiful, so perfectly toned, witty, talented and academic as well. Funny in GG it’s Rory who comes out top on everything – in real life Lauren seems to have it all pretty well covered though.

Lauren’s great interview on The View and I wish I can go to see her Guys and Dolls Broadway.I wish Lauren should talk about Gilmore Girls more on The View but oh well.

I caught this interview this morning. The preview was definitely misleading. It even said something about why you shouldnt send lauren a txt msg…It was a good one though but very short. i still love her interviews with ellen though. You’d never know where the conversation would go.

Aw I have to agree, the preview is quite misleading. But great interview. Lauren’s reaction to the whole “Pilot” joke was just great, I didn’t really get it either until Lauren asked about it. I’m abit sad she didn’t refer to Gilmore Girls by name though
