Lauren Graham Talks Life Balance

Lauren Graham Tony AwardsLauren Graham was recently interviewed by Parade magazine.

Lauren Graham talks about her childhood and about her passion for acting and how she could never relax on her summer breaks while growing up – she was always in the theater, even if it was just to clean toilets (or be a mascot!). Lauren now, however, has discovered the pleasures in relaxation. Doing what, you may ask? Apparently she loves to cook, bake and throw parties! That said, it’s not like she has a lot of off time.

“I think part of being an actor is that your life is your job all the time… It is an endless balance. I always wonder, would I be so worried about having dessert if I weren’t an actor? It’s so boring. It’s so dumb. But it’s something that I’ve made peace with, to a certain degree.”

Lauren shares how draining it was to work on Guys and Dolls, including the odd hours she kept. That said, it sounds like Lauren is ready to keep looking for more roles - no extended vacation for her (which is great for us Lauren fans to hear!).

While at Parade, don’t forget to take the Gilmore Girls quiz I made for them!!

Woop! I finally met Lauren Graham last night!!! She did an interview at Seth Rusedsky’s Chatterbox at Don’t Tell Mama’s in NYC last night!

Best night ever – a great interview about 50 mins lon and then she performed the Lament’s reprise which was lovely! She was so nice & chatty all night – there was no official vid since they forgot the cable for the video camera – doh! But there may be a few snips on Youtube and I’m sure the audio will be available at some point!

It was the best interview with her I’ve seen & that’s not just cause I was there lol!!!
