More bad news for former Real Housewife of Orange County Lauri Waring, who we last heard was asking for more alimony from her ex-husband. Her son Josh Waring is back in jail for narcotics posession. Lauri left the show when Josh went to jail for drugs last year, and he was released in February on probation.
Edit: The OC Register has some updated news on Josh’s arrest: he was found with drug paraphernalia in his home, a violation of his probation. No drugs were found.

Actually it was the paraphernalia that was found according to the Orange County Register.
“No drugs were found, but the equipment – a violation of his probation – is being tested, Amormino said.”

Neither George or Lauri know how to or want to parent their kids. Just ask the four who are out of the house. They all have a story to tell.
Read the two letters from each of their sons for beginners. Gives you an insight into the Peterson/Waring REALITY….

It always made me cringe to see how little Lauri was involved in her kids lives….she acted like kids were there to serve her and really the reason to have kids is to parent them, guide them and be there for them.
It always looked like she threw Josh to the wolves from the start instead of getting him the help he needed. Now it looks like it has spiraled out of control.
I don’t know why people like George and Lauri even have kids, they obviously do not care enough to put the proper time and love that it takes to raise children. It always amazes me how selfish some parents are.

As a mother, it’s hard for me to judge other mothers. I know that kids can do awful things even with the best parenting.
But those two pieces of evidence up there seem very compelling. And watching how Lauri treated her son on the show — she threw him to the wolves, just as Talia said — I have to agree that there’s more to this story than the perfect Fairytale George and Lauri would like us to believe in.
Oh let’s face it. These rich reality TV people with their fake tans, fake faces, fake bodies, fake lives — none of it is what life is really about and what makes life fulfilling and worthwhile. They’re living in their own overly-financed fantasy.
Poor kids. But what’s really sad is, they’ll probably grow up to be just like their parents.

From watching Season 1, Lauri just seemed so desperate for a paycheck, er, husband. There was that sleazy guy she was dating who Josh found with drugs when they all went to Mexico, and Lauri insisted on continuing to date him! Who does that?
There was also that scene where all the women went jewelry shopping and Lauri couldn’t afford anything. Vicki told her to work harder so she could afford what Vicki could and she was all “Yeah right!”
I’ve also seen Josh defending his mother on his myspace page (back when it was public) so.. obviously many conflicting feelings.

I remember the episode when they all were in Hawaii and Lauri and Ashley called Josh from the beach and rubbed in the fact where they were. Poor Josh, you could hear in his voice how bad he felt that he could not be there. And Ashley always putting him down when he was around. She is no better than her mom. I always wondered why he teamed up with Georges ex wife.

Yeah the Hawaii thing really bothered me too. I couldn’t believe how cruel and cold Ashley was to her own brother, she has absolutely no compassion……guess she is cold and selfish just like her mom.
What drives me insane is Lauri trying to get sympathy for having a son in trouble, it’s because of her sh*tty parenting that he is a mess!
And her pretending to leave the show for Josh was the biggest crock, she left the show because she found her sugar daddy so why have cameras and hate mail?
If George were broke she would have nothing to do with that man.

Thinking about it, Lauri is not the only one to blame, he does have a father out there somewhere. From what I remember from the first seasons, he was and is not in the picture, except when he had to go to court for Josh. I remember Lauri being uncomfortable seeing her ex. Being divorced myself, it is hard being a single mother when the father chooses to not be in the picture. It is even harder on the kids. I dont know the whole story with his dad, but where is he now when Josh needs him?

I think Lauri is a clinical narcissist. It’s hard not to notice that when she is in a situation that isn’t all about Lauri, all Lauri, all the time, she isn’t happy. It made me cringe seeing how she dismissed her kids when they weren’t doing anything exactly the way she wanted. It was also kind of sad to see her accepting all those expensive gifts and living so large while begrudging her own kids that crappy little condo to live in. How can you expect college kids to live somewhere and not have friends over, keep the place as clean as a stay at home mom would and basically live like they have no lives? Also, she perfectly embodies all the “bad” in plastic surgery. She has the most frozen face ever. There’s something offputting about how her upper lip area doesn’t move at all when she talks or shows “expression” LOL!
