We’ve been sitting on this far too long, and now’s the time to tell you what we hear on good authority — that Glee’s Lea Michele has hooked up with co-stars Matthew Morrison and Cory Monteith off the set of the wildly popular high-school dramedy.
A source told Crushable that Lea — who’s now dating Broadway actor Theo Stockman — has slept with Cory and Matthew, on separate occasions of course. The source did not say when the hookups happened, but In Touch (via Hollywood Life) reports that Lea’s fling with Matthew occurred sometime circa 2007 before they knew he’d be portraying her conservative curly-haired teacher on Glee.
Crushable confirmed the hookups separately with another source close to the 23-year-old actress, who came to Los Angeles by way of Broadway (where she starred in the original production of Spring Awakening). Matthew, 31, also has a theater background and was nominated for a Tony Award in 2005 for his role in the musical The Light In the Piazza.
There was no visible awkwardness when the cast appeared together on the Oprah show. When asked which actor is most like their character, Matthew responded without missing a beat that Lea bears strong similarities to her talented Type-A alter ego Rachel Berry because they are both strong women who know what they want — and go for it.
Was he playfully hinting at her rumored diva behavior?
Well, it appears that what Lea wants, Lea gets!
