Leaked phone call reveals Robert De Niro as a bit of a diva

Big brouhaha today over a leaked phone call between director Quentin Tarentino and studio exec Harvey Weinstein. Apparently, while the three were working on the set of the film Jackie Brown, actor Robert De Niro was giving Tarentino a hard time. Here’s the phonecall:

“Unless you were privy to actual conversations . . . I would draw an analogy to the blind man who picks up the tail of an elephant and exclaims, ‘This animal must be quite slender and very wiry.’ “
